🗓 2023 Maverick ordering now starts SEPTEMBER 15 (not August 2)

That's the cause of the delay. Ford is having to spend time tightening all the lug nuts they forgot to tighten on the '22 MY. They only have one lug nutter to send around the country tightening nuts before they can start on the '23 MY.

I went to the dealer my cousin used to be the F/I person today, 8/2. We had set the appointment a few weeks ago. I emailed him yesterday if we should wait for Sept, he said come in so I did. I have an order sheet filled out and signed by sales manager. Took all my info for ROVP. The order will be put in as soon as order bank opens. We'll see! I do have a October 2022 XLT hybrid order which has a chance of being scheduled.
8/3 follow up-after watching Tim's YouTube stream last night it looks like no more 2022 hybrids being scheduled after this or next week :-( October scheduled production will all be ecoboost without Lux package (XLT and Lariat) I thought I had a chance for my hybrid to be scheduled until 8/18, ah well!

Well I got a pleasant surprise this morning. I had an appointment scheduled for 8:30 but knowing it was a waste of time I didn't go. I called the dealership instead and my salesman picked up on the first ring and said, "Hi John, sorry but I have some bad news, I was just dialing to call you." Caller ID is a wonderful thing

So I was wrong, he did call me even if I beat him by a few seconds. Points to my salesman!

He said he took my file to his manager this morning and that is when he found out order banks will not open until September. He said he was told 1st of September. Not sure about that but I guess we will see.

My dealer finally got the message this morning. I still went in and put a deposit down, configured a 2022 so they'd have some idea of what I want and actually got to test drive a base hybrid model that someone backed out of. The markup on the truck I test drove was huge. But in any event the truck is nice and I'll be happy to own one in hopefully a year or so

You would hope that Ford will use this time to BUILD the 2022 orders that they have first before further "log jamming" production with new orders for 2023. How about some "Business Integrity 101"?

Skipped through 95%, so let's think and talk about me now. Should I be twistedly optimistic that after one year of nothing, my 9/5 build date is supposed to have moved to 9/12? But impossibly with expected delivery to my dealer between 9/24 and 9/30. Could it be the Last Edition 22's are finally getting their Quixotic due my friends?

Technically, I don't think Ford has set a specific date in Sep, and Tim has confirmed this with the Brand Manager at Ford. Speculation is it will be the 15th
