Backed up my ABS module and made the changes and seems I did it right:
That's an awesome feeling. You'll really know you did it right when you drive in those two modes, which are substantially different than Normal and all the other modes. I spent a week driving around in Sport mode, and my average fuel economy was 19 mpg. This past week I've been keeping it in Eco mode (not near as much fun) and am averaging 24-25 mpg, but I think I could do better.

You can also confirm they are working and different from the other drive modes by watching the power distribution to each wheel in the intelligent AWD menu on the ecoboosts.

Thanks for this. The USB cable was on Prime sale so I picked it up and went though the mod steps. Took a little browsing around but it's pretty easy. All the modes work great on my EB FX4.

Anybody noted anything different after enabling all drive modes on EB FX4? I’m concerned about keeping SDM ABS disabled. What’s the function of this SDM ABS? Maybe I’m wrong, it seems there’s a noise coming from rear wheels after this mod. PS: my truck has only 150 miles.

I'm not a tekkie, would anyone be willing to do that for another Maverick comrade's I'm in SE Michigan. I'm sure there are lots of us that would love to get this done, but are afraid to try, I'm just asking thanks,

I’ve had them enabled for close to 7k of my 9k total miles with no issues or change in braking behavior.

the easy setup screen works perfectly for this on my truck (details in signature).
i got all the drive modes enabled and tested the "new" eco and sport modes to make sure they worked. im surprised by the difference between sport and eco modes. the balance shifts far more heavily to the rear wheels, and the engine is kept at a much higher rpm range while in sport mode.

Procedure

1: did a backup of every single module available.
2: entered the ABS module
3: changed SDM - ABS to disabled
4: changed each drive mode to enabled
5: clicked write
6: waited until forscan was done and followed the instruction to cycle my ignition.
7: unplugged the laptop and turned on the engine for a test drive

thanks so much to those who worked to find these settings!
now im going to explore everything else that has been discovered.
I am a couple hours south of you and an all Mac house. I did a quick search and it seems that there is an additional layer of creativity needed to get this running on a non windows machine. If I drove up to you and bought you a beer (or 6) would you enable this on mine?

Forscan should work in a virtualized environment. There are other programs but one that should work and is freeware is virtualbox. Short answer install virtualbox ,get a copy of windows 7 or 10, install it as a guest os in virtualbox and you will be able to run windows programs. It will just be a case of getting the usb adaptor working correctly.

You could also dual boot a Mac. Bootcamp, I believe it is calle.

Would need to be an Intel based Mac. Not sure you can get there with the newer ARM MacBooks.

Good call out from both of you - thank you. My concern was when I was poking around on the forscan site it was still a lot of moving parts. Essentially we are writing a new file to the system and the more duct tape work arounds you are putting into place to achieve it the more likely you are to have something bugger and short out. I agree if the stars can align and I do the proper rain dance with the right hardware/software combination it "should" work but is it worth the risk when finding a buddy with a windows machine and a proven method would take out the added variability.

Worse case I will probably have to do what you both suggested. Thank you :)

Does it affect tow mode? I have Fx4 and tow packages. Tow package turns on anti-sway. Actually when I plug in the 7 pin trailer plug it turns on tow mode but it is selectable as a drive mode.

It does not effect any other modes. It's just another mode to have access.

I just had Eco and Sport modes added Wednesday, thanks JimCT! What I found interesting is how in Sport mode the steering tightens up. I haven't done any spirited driving with it on yet, (not even supposed to be driving after my recent surgery). But I can feel the steering. That is pretty cool!
