  1. Ford Issues Do-Not-Drive Advisory for Certain 2021-2026 Maverick; Owners Urged to Contact Dealerships Immediately (June 1, 2026)

Thanks to @Darnon posting the TSB images, I went and checked myself. My VIN didn’t have the recall, but figured I might as well look and see. Looks good.
  2. Wheels advice please

You’re welcome. Depends on what you mean by downtime. If you get aftermarket rims, that should be a single trip. Bring rims, in the bed, and they can swap everything; drive home with old rims in bed. Or just get the rims with tires & TPMS already installed and just swamp them yourself; places...
  3. Wheels advice please

The first thing is whether you are sure you want bronze. If not, you can buy vinyl wrap on Amazon and put some on as a test. I’m doing this on a different car to see what I like. Wrap was $40. As far as wrapping a wheel as a ā€˜permanent’ thing. I had watched a lot of videos, for my test. Most...
  4. Any spray for easier removal of dead bugs for long road trip?

This is my go to: https://www.griotsgarage.com/bug-smudge-remover/ Works fantastic. I spray it on while I get the hose all set up. Then wash that part with a bug sponge/mess mitt. Something like: https://www.griotsgarage.com/four-finger-mesh-mittens-set-of-2/
  5. Light Blue / Robin's Egg Blue Maverick

Nice wheels, but maybe a bigger diameter. I realize you probably did that to keep the stock tires.
  6. Tonneau Cover Buying Guide

I hadn’t seen the video RealTruck posted, but I had followed this one when I did mine a couple years back: And this one:
  7. One of these things is not like the other....

May not be like the others, but is the best of the other šŸ˜€
  8. Ordered a 26 - Trade-in negotiations?

When it comes in you get to pick which set of offers to use. The ones that were in place when you ordered, or the ones in place when you get it. That is a Ford thing, not a dealer thing. The dealer just picks which incentive date to use. So yes they expire, but those in place at time of order...
  9. Giveaway! Quick Survey – What Matters Most When Choosing Floor Mats?

Fit is #1. Coverage is #2; I have the Ford all weather mats, but not enough of the dead pedal is covered. Price. Finish quality; that is, doesn’t fade with use and washing.
  10. Tire replacement time is approaching.

In general OEM tires don’t last as long as the same named non-OEM version. Sometimes it is because the OEM starts with less depth, sometimes it is a slightly different compound. Bit agreed those Defender 2s look good. I am doing to remember those when I need replacements.
  11. Tire replacement time is approaching.

I had a ā€˜22 Mav Lariat with 18ā€ Primacy and we have a ā€˜23 Escape with 18ā€ Primacy. What you are feeling is not the tire. It is the short wheelbase of the Escape. My ā€˜22 road great. You’d be surprised how much the wheelbase length matters. If you don’t like the Escape’s, don’t drive a Bronco...
  12. Cheap auto-dimming, homelink mirror

I haven’t issues doing that. Maybe push the connector in more, to remove from stress from the locking tab. Maybe try a small screwdriver on the tab.
  13. Garage Door Remote Option

This is from my ā€˜22. I swapped it over to my ā€˜25, but changed the dark blue trim to black. Wired to only work when truck is On. Here is a thread on the project: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/diy-garage-opener-and-ford-auto-dimming-mirror-my-%E2%80%9825-update.32299/
  14. šŸ”„ Just Swapped FoMoCo Muffler for MagnaFlow 12255 — UNBELIEVABLE Difference!

Did you hear drone with the stock muffler? I seems like mine does, that is why I ask. Is cold start up and louder then the stock muffler?
  15. 2025 Lariat Remote Start not Heating seats and Steering wheel

When you remote start, make sure the seat is on 3. I always had in the past, but even with my ā€˜22 the seat was not toasty when I got in. Even went to the dealer to have it checked out. For some reason, Ford no longer heats the seat to the max value; it just warms it even to ’take the edge off’...
  16. Auto-dimming rear view mirror install question, cracking windshield?

I think they are talking about the small silver piece glued to the windshield, playing with that will crack the windshield. You can take off the current mirror like others have said. When you get an auto-dimming mirror, you just need one that has the same mount type; so you can use what is...
  17. Auto-Dimming Side Mirrors

Had auto dimming mirror on my ā€˜17 Fusion; vehicle before my 1st Maverick. I miss it. If the Escape or Bronco Sport had it, that would an easy swap; but they don’t. To make it work, at least how Ford did it on my Fusion, there is a separate wire coming from the auto dimming interior mirror. It...
  18. FINALLY, FORScan coding to disable the Seatbelt Information Screen! (CONFIRMED WORKING)

Glad it helped. I was sick of it too. The rare times I drive my wife’s ā€˜23 Escape, which does not have this change, I’m reminded how much I hated it šŸ˜€
  19. Ford Hood Scoop affecting hood release

One pull doing the primary and secondary latch has to be something wrong with the latch itself. Iā€˜d take it to the dealer. You can also maybe try this: With the hood open, use a screw driver to simulate the hood closing the latch. Then have someone pull the handle while you watch the latch.

🄲 Sometimes you got to do what you got to do. Hope you still hang out on here, you are a great resource.
