No complaints with the AD ones for me. Fitment is perfect. I would recommend buying one of the 200 piece push pin kits off Amazon. My stock ones were not all the same and some were not long enough after installing the flares
First project of 2024 in the books today. Got my Diode Dynamics 6ā pair of SAE Foglight bars wired up. Went quicker than I anticipated and I think we got it all buttoned up in ~2 hrs.
Got my vented cover from @P99Guy this week as well and couldn't agree more about the quality and packaging. I bought the knockoff one before I knew about the real one and had promptly thrown it in the trash since it didn't even snap in all the way. The OG design I got from David snapped right in...
Yeah that is normal on the new T3 ones. It modulates until it finds the right wattage to match the computer and not trip the outage detection. This leads to some brief hyper flashing before it matches. I just got my bulbs this weekend and haven't put them in yet
Guess I know what Iāll be checking this weekend. Rear end of my Mav has been noisier than usual recently so letās see if my Steeda is still in one piece š¬š
"Add' probably isn't the right word for me to have used since you really are not adding anything. The modes are already there in the software, just disabled. Someone @ Ford probably did some study that said it was better to only give people 5 drive mode options instead of 7 so they just disable...
I've seen some people report slight MPG increases in Slippery mode so that might compare to Eco but the manual also advises it could lead to driveline binding if used on dry roads.
Sport and Eco can be added to FX4 in ~15 min with ForScan and if you're interested you'll find plenty of guides...
Thanks, that's kind of you to say!
1. They are the "Wide Wing" brackets. XO generally recommends those for any type of tonneau compatibility
2. If I recall, it's about 53.25" between the inside edges of the brackets side to side
3. At the time, XO was recommending 14" as the minimum to clear...
For me, the biggest impact moving from a "piggyback" to the Cobb AP was less about power, etc and more about the ability of the Cobb to update the shifting behavior. The truck shifts so much smoother and more logically now compared to Ford's stock shift mapping. The added punch is obviously a...
Yeah getting $300 for those is impressive. I just sold a set of 255/45/20 tires with 1500 miles on them for $360 after little to no serious interest. I also practically gave away my FX4 wheels with 235/65 Toyo OCIII in great shape last year for $600 including TPMS and lugs after trying to sell...
Definitely a good deal. Those AT3s will be solid all around. They were in the running back when I was swapping things around and they only reason I didn't go with them was bc I had some options that were a little lighter. I'd pick that set up without hesitation though, you will be happy.
Yeah I had thought about swapping some of the Tremor stuff but there were a few reasons I didn't look at it real close:
1. Hadn't seen anyone do it and I wasn't keen to be the guinea pig
2. Last time I did look with my local dealer, the parts were really hard to obtain
3. My truck is 4k tow and...
I know the whole Raptor grill thing is very much a love it or hate it prospect for a lot of people. It would probably be less so if it hadn't debuted on the Raptor and just been part of some kind of "bold" design cues Ford started using. I like it and have been pleasantly surprised by the...
The guys at the Diode Dynamics booth last summer during Overland Expo claimed Form Lighting was working on stuff but nothing ever materialized. I wouldnāt hold my breath for anything at this point. Probably just not enough $$ in it compared to selling lights for Tacomas, Super Dutys, etc.
yeah I had some provisions that reduced my deductible and some other stuff. Overall I donāt live in a state that believes in a lot of consumer protectionsā¦
