I figured I would post this since no one else has so far. This is surprising considering the video has been posted for several hours. But this will be a great video for anyone who is interested to see if the Hybrid AWD is as good as expected in the snow. Not to give anything away, but it does not disappoint. Even on the stock all-season tires. Hope you enjoy.

Not sure why they insist on testing it with stock all season tires. They might be fine for one winter, but beyond that if they are anything like most all seasons, they'll be useless in winter after that. I took the stock tires off the first winter, they don't get used during the cold season.

It did great for having the crappy stock tires. I would love to see them put some good tires on it.

Yes it worked perfectly in the snow. Just happened to pick mine up today and had to run to get some propane tanks filled. It was just as sure footed as my jeep 4X4 is in the snow, never felt a single wheel slip compared to how it is with either front or rear wheel drive, have both of those types and can always feel a wheel slip with them in the snow.

yeah, most people who live in snowy areas will put on snows... I didn't always...then slipped on snow covered ice with my Mazda B2000 work truck that required a fender and turn signal lamp.... slowed way down after that and always rotated a set of Hokkpolittas or Nokia (which of course are the same now)...

I wouldn't operate a brand new maverick on the stock AS tires in snow.... I'd have a set of either really good AT or even real snow tires.

Video reenforces just how well balanced the Hybrid is compared to many pickups. The HV battery weight does help this I assume. No added weight in bed. Would be interesting to compare with the EB Maverick.

I will tell you why. 95% of us rarely drive off road or in snow. We are not going to change the stock all season tires out for noisy all terrain or winter tires. If the test did NOT use stock tires the test would have been worthless to me.

same. it snows, and is cleared out in a few hours by snow plows and salt/brine. im not changing to dedicated winter tires unless I live in a place like Alaska (which I did) as soon as I left AK, I went to all seasons, and never went back

It would basically be a worthless review if they just use specific snow tires that 95+% don’t even have on our trucks. To meet testing criteria they have to do that on stock tires. I’m sure some other folks will come along and add snow tires and test those.

Our Houston area experiencing sleet n snow. Lots of it. Probably a record? But guess what…my Maverick parked in garage, will be there a bit. Not planning to do any AWD out there. News videos of highways here shows few brave souls w vehicles out there.

Depending on where you live you may only get one winter and not wanna immediately spend 800$ on new tires 🤷🏾‍♂️ just saying.

not to mention hassle of paying people to mount/unmount rubber to wheels. in ohio, we get a week of it, but they clear the snow immediately, so just go slow, get home, next day roads are cleared. no issues here. ive never been stuck anywhere

im glad this week, theres a guy who has a car that hasn't moved in like 7 years on the road, and wasn't even parked along the sidewalk correctly, it was like crooked, they finally towed his ass and the vehicle hasn't been back. looks os much better here.

city ordinance says if more than 2 inches, get car off street, and that vehicle the plows are nice and always go around, but finally its gone. city towed it away lol

I think the weight of the battery is negligible.
