I’m concerned if / when the screen fails or is glitchy What the cost will be or how long to fix , parts etc.
I have 2022, I like my little truck don’t get me wrong, but jeez it’s had its share or issues.

id like to imagine I could get them from wrecked units/junkyard/ebay eventually by time these fail one day for a fair price.

you are imagining correctly, and from online Ford parts sellers, the cost of a 13.2" screen or sync4 APIM are not that bad, anyway.

both of them are very easy to swap as well. like, take off a few trim pieces and you're done. nothing at all dramatic like pulling the dashboard...

Yes it is. Not really unexpected given that people were paying upwards of $15K over MSRP when they launched.
It is not even remotely the same vehicle that cost $21,495.

Whether you believe the value is there or not is subjective but the 2025 AWD hybrid is objectively NOT the same vehicle as a 22-24 fwd hybrid.

The new system is less safe.
With the old physical HVAC controls, you can just reach out and adjust the fan or temperature or turn the system on/off completely and quickly, without even looking away from the road. And even with gloves on.
Huge knobs to turn instead of tiny little virtual buttons on a screen.

Screens in vehicles are the reason for the huge increase in rear end collisions. An unintended side effect of requiring backup cameras (and their associated screens) in all new vehicles. With the camera screen already in the vehicle, automakers now can't resist cramming things like HVAC and radio controls into a screen/menu operation, so they can get rid of physical knobs and save a little money.
You said it right. Could not have stated it better.

But the $32K equipped exactly like mine is.....the same vehicle. $24K to $32K is well beyond any inflation.

Happy holidays fellow Maverick fans. Here is a new video review of the 2025 Maverick by Ben Hardy. Ben does some decent reviews, and I thought you would like to see this cheers.!
I watched the video and found it boring and uninformative. I haven't learned a single thing form it.

What vehicle did you order? Do you have a copy of your window sticker so we can go true apples to apples?

I ordered a '22 XLT hybrid new in '21 from Chapman Ford, I paid just under $24K out the door. It's an XLT hybrid, spray-in, co-pilot, tow hitch, all weather floor liners. That truck is now $32,835.

Can you show me the screenshot for your 2025 build for that price?

seems to me I can’t quite build the same truck you purchased in 2022.

You are exactly right. I compared my 22 EB AWD Lariat and the 25 EB AWD Lariat (on order). Both have the same except the 25 has SYNC 4 with a much bigger screen and the trailer assist package. The difference in price is only $3100...not bad at all for a 3 year difference and some nice upgrades!

Specific to the above poster - they cannot build an apples to apples Maverick to the one they own.

That wasn’t their criticism of Ford but rather the price increase. Which they cannot accurately make since an apples to apples comparison does not exist.

Knobs that quickly get to a desired setting without even having to look at them are good.

Buttons that require multiple pushes to get a setting, like temperature or fan level, are not good.

Controls that require diverting eyes from the road are bad.

Needing to browse through menus to find a control to adjust are way bad and downright horrible in traffic.
All volume, heat and tuning controls in ALL vehicles should be knobs.
Push button for granular control is terrible in an automotive environment.

Copilot, floor mats and spray in is already 1400$. Can't find a hitch because it's standard but that puts you at 32k. Not that far from 32.8 but not sure if he is using the 4k tow of $800 (can't be applied to fwd) .

I even prefer when you had a dial for the output location to switch from feet to upper to defrost.
At least for the 1st two areas - you can make your own level of mix.
Rav4 has 3 indents - feet, mix, upper.
But I still like to dial between feet & mix to get my own level to the upper vents.
