As I'm endlessly waiting for my maverick to come in. I'm debating on upgrading from the XLT to the Lariat. I keep going back and forth on it. I'm curious to what everyone's reason were for choosing their trim level. Also has anyone gotten the XLT or Lariat and wish they didn't.
I believe that the Lariat also has an extra sound deadening layer in the windshield.

Because around here we have gotten really good at sniping those d*mn things with pellet rifles - legal too. They eat and kill all of our flowering plants and killed my Hong Kong Orchid tree. Entire community works to keep them out of our neighborhood. We need a freeze this winter to take out the little ones.

South Florida 1st world problems ;)
I moved away from West Palm Beach 21 years ago, and just recently went back to visit. Holy cow have the invasive species taken over! That said, I'd have way too much fun helping the community with the iguana problem.

Sorry, I would never paint my bedroom blue and brown so I can't see myself sitting in that color combo on the road. The denim looks much nicer to me.

So fancy vinyl. Hey, I like the active x seats, and plan on getting a Lariat. But the seats are... Vinyl. Really high quality vinyl... But vinyl none the less
Maverick = So fancy model T, really high quality model T.... But model T none the less 🤗

Keyless entry and push button start alone are worth. Once you have it, you don't want to not have it. If you never had it, you should have it
I have them in my other car (heated and cooled seats, and steering wheel as well)...I chose not to have any of those options in my Maverick.

It was all about that dual-zone AC for us. But then the Lariat lux had the quieter windshield, spare tire, bedliner...

If I could do it again, I would go Lariat. XLT is fine, but Lariat has some nice small upgrades.
I agree with this. I really like the cloth interior but there are a few little upgrades that would be nice but not necessary. Not complaining at all, I really like my Alto FX4

You either have the money or you don't. If you have it then get the Lariat and check all the boxes. Cheap out on other things, but get the best car you can.

It doesn't look anywhere near as bad in person.

I had "push button start" on my 2015 Honda Fit Ex and yes I really liked it.

For me on the Maverick it was not worth the extra $3,500 at current prices to move from the XLT to Lariat. So no it is not worth the price of $3,500 for "push button start"/"Keyless entry" alone.

I have had my Maverick XLT Hybrid since December 13, 2021 and have gotten used to using the key again. Not a big issue for me.

Had push button start once upon a time. It was a button on the floorboard you pushed with your foot. Worked great.

Then they went all fancy and started using keys. :)

I immediately eliminated the Lariat because the name is so stupid.

So ford basically nailed it with these option packages/configurations... It's just tempting enough for buyer to step up to Lariat but most will be perfectly content with XLT. They'll make more money with Lariat sales and everyone will be pretty happy with the truck they buy.
