I hate getting in to cold car in winters. I usually turn on my EV and heat the cabin 10 min before I start.
I was wondering if remote starting the maverick(hybrid) will just warm the cabin in battery mode(not starting the engine) !!
Thank all
Not worth. 4k more will get you a new truck.
- better screen
- better warranty
- no surprises
- may be free oil changes by dealer
- better resale value
A maverick and a Ranger is not apples to apples also.
The closest alternative is Honda Ridgeline and I am sure you will find one at that price.
Also I am sure you can find a barely used midsize truck at 35k(used car market is in free fall)
My point is if you put 10% more and get a mid size...
I was wondering the same thing. A base maverick is upward of $30k.
A decently equipped one is about $35k. At that price we can get a mid size pickup (with deals and promotions).
Only thing where maverick shines is the size and gas mileage. Ironically, people with big trucks do not need the big...
Here is an example reference for my question. I would not buy it at that price for sure.
It looks like not worth(unless the price is less than $15k)
Thanks all for your inputs
I see some listings near me and wondering,
Is a used maverick above 80k miles worth it ?
Am taking about AWD Ecoboost (not hybrids)
I mean, it's still a small engine. For most of the family cars it's a hard pass. Is it worth it for a maverick ?
Well, I don't know. The whole point of Maverick is that it is affordable. If that is out the window why get a maverick.
If you drive less than 1000 miles a month, there is not a whole lot savings on gas(with hybrid)
If you do long commutes and need a truck then yes. Otherwise there are other...
Interested in another Maverick in the family.
Not in any sort of hurry, so don't want to pay a premium for a used or new Maverick.
We all know what marketplace is offering for used mavericks and what they are selling for,
so we can make good deal for both of us.
enjoy, happy mavericking
General question,
Why is it that all midsize trucks gets the same gas mileage as full size trucks.
Ranger, Tacoma, Ridgeline, Gladiator, Frontier, Colorado, Canyon.
All of these trucks are rated at 17-18 City (few grand more and we can get a full size truck with same gas mileage)
I know...
You have to think what sort of miles you drive per month. City or highway.
If around 1000 miles per month, you don't see any savings from a hybrid and your will miss AWD.
If it snows you'd need AWD. I don't know why people would not encourage that. You need it when you need it.
I think Lariat trim is not worth.
If you can live without push button start, Everything in this trim is better than XLT. Better seats, better windshield, better rims etc but no exclusive features (again if you can live it keyless entry and push button start), for me those are important.
First, Don't say dealer a thing, dealer can reject your sale because your intention is to resell, and they will sell it with adm.
Next, things are not as good for resell but not bad too. You have to see
- what is the price your are getting - out the door+ tax, dealer fee etc)
- what's the...
