I used 89 octane On my 7-hour trip I was getting 30.5 once I was back home. Going back and forth to work I'm getting 26.3 I'm happy with those MPGs. My old Ranger was getting around 19 MPGs going back and forth to work.

It is clearly marked AVERAGE but I agree instant doesn't give you the true picture but that is not what is displayed. Even on paper it makes 35-38, the only time it hasn't is with a trailer behind it and even the 26 MPG is what I got. I just wanted to know what everyone else is getting I've seen the threads where 18 mpg is there I'm not comparing it to a Hybrid. Thanks for pointing out how to calculate gas mileage.
That is exactly what is displayed......the average FE at that moment.

Toggle to your trip odometer that shows the cumulative average until you reset it. That's a better indication of your overall FE. Still needs to be verified by hand calculation at fill-up.

27-28 mpg with normal driving with a 70/30 (highway/city) split.

Have had my Eco XL since late Feb.
Have about 3700 miles on the odometer
I drive about 50/50 city/highway.
Been using 87 Octane.
I calculate my mileage after every fill-up and have been averaging around 32 miles/gallon.
I tend to drive steady without any quick accelerations and keep it in the 60-65 mph range on the highway.

Great to hear this. We just ordered a '23 Mav 2.0 XL FWD. We have a '22 Hybrid Lariat since January, and on paper it gets 42 mpg, vs 44.3 mpg on the display. Pretty close. Thank you for your numbers! Lastly, for driving habit comparison, do you drive over 70 on the HWY? I rarely go over 70 mph on the HWY.

not the best screen to share. you need a trip indicator with over 1,000 miles imo.

i just drove from philadelphia pa to jacksonville fl, on 89 octane, fairly fast, not caring at all about gas mileage for a second. 70-85mph the entire trip

and got 32mpg.
I feel like the ecoboost engine shines on the highway and is meh for city mpg. I recently made a 3 hour highway trip from Jacksonville to Douglas, GA to pick up a cargo trailer. I would say I averaged mostly 65-70 mph and I had a similar experience as you. My mpg for the trip was 34-35 mpg.

However, when I am driving my daily commute with multiple red lights and never going faster than 45 mph I get about 24 mpg.

Check out Fuelly. Interesting to see that there are two bumps in the graphs for the eco and hybrid.

Our FX4 got 23-27 at sustained 75-85mph cruising over several thousand miles. Worse in the city. Much worse during the frigid CO winter last year.

I respectfully have no idea why you’d get an EB FWD Maverick over the hybrid?

XL ecoboost AWD, 87 octane, usually driving 80 on the interstate half the time, been towing a utility trailer last few weekends, never fuss with the mode, at 8600 miles now - 27.5 mpg no matter what I do

I am getting 24-26 mpg city, driving 28 miles daily to work and back home. On a recent 214 mile trip (all interstate) from Pensacola to Bonifay, FL and back, I got 29.3 mpg. I was using 87 octane, driving with cruise control set at 70 MPH. My Ecosport 1.0L 3cyl that I traded in was only getting marginally better mpg.

Getting close to 2k miles on the Truck and overall average of 26.2 mpg. Current tank of gas is showing 29.2 mpg with mostly highway driving lately.
