Usually for life unless it’s a lemon. I have a brutal habit of not being able to break up with my cars. Thus the Mav will join the stable, but I expect it will be my last new car.

Too many variables for an exact answer. My personal philosophy is to keep my vehicle well taken care of and get as many miles as I can. It is a tool, not an investment so I get my use out of it. I don’t beat my vehicles either. My Wrangler just hit 200K miles and I’m giving it to my daughter. If the Maverick is as dependable as my Jeep, I’ll have it a long time.

Had my 2003 Chevy S-10 from age 54 to age 74. I expect this 2023 Maverick stays with me to the end. After 4.5 months, it does exactly what I need...or at least it will when I get a Demco Baseplate on it.

I do have a 2024 on order, just in case of something bad happening to my 2023. We'll see what happens when/if it arrives. I'd trade it in if a flat-towable Hybrid AWD becomes available in a couple years or so, but the Jeep will handle WY winters if need be.

My last auto purchase ever…………unless Ford builds a twin turbo version of this along with handling upgrades that allow it to outdo the likes of Vettes or Porsches, and also credit me $35k for my current Mav towards this limited edition STT!😁
I'd like to see PowerNation get a hold of one and turn it into track toy like they did with this one:

Started at 44:44 because it's the suspension part that makes that truck so awesome.

Probably about 10 years. That's how long I tend to keep vehicles. But I'm about to retire at 55 so who really knows... I'm not exactly sure what my needs and wants will be over the next decade.

Until Toyota comes out with a compact hybrid pickup or Ford does their AWD hybrid...or I can afford an F150

I buy and sell cars frequently, in the 8 years I've been driving I've had 8 vehicles from 1966-2007 excluding the Maverick. I have already thought about selling and going back to the <5000$ shitboxes but I'm kinda enjoying not needing to work on it every other week. who would have though
I'm just a little ahead of you. 51 vehicles in 48 years. Still wish I had my 69 goat.

I say 10 years, but it is hard to do unless there have been costly issues. 12-14 if no major problems.

At least 5 years. Could be longer, unless there's a very tempting EV truck I like at a good price.

Hmm, interesting question. I looked back at my history... aside from my college beater, I've owned my cars 11, 12, 7, and 12 years. I loved my '01 Escape, but my son ruined the engine so that was the 7 year stretch. So, now that I'm nearing retirement, I'll probably keep this one for a good 10+ years unless I love it so much I trade it up to a Lariat in a few years.

One thing about those stretches -- the first car was an Upstate NY car. The wisdom was "buy new, and drive it into the ground" because of the salt and rough roads. Much discussion involved "where is the ground, after all?" LOL However, I've found that now that I live in the South, without the salt or potholes, that I do get kinda tired of a car after 10-12 years. My XLT hybrid lux is in in production now, so we'll see how long it takes to get tired of it!

IDK. I’m retired (69 yo) and financially comfortable. I’ll probably keep it until its death or mine.
let's see a ittlle more optimism here Sir :) . i have seen lots of posts from Maverick buyers here in their mid 70's. for the record i too am a proud 69yo 23 Hybrid Lariat owner with a 24 Mav already ordered. i'll probably flip one of them whenever the '24 arrives. i tend to hang onto my vehicles 8 to 10 yrs for many years now.

I plan to add perpetuality to my will so that it will be around forever. Who knows...maybe I'll come back as someone else and regain ownership...
