I usually keep vehicles a long time. My last truck was an F-150 which I drove for 22 years. I imagine this will be my last new vehicle. Once it arrives, I plan to keep it until I am no longer able to drive, or it gets rear-ended/totaled. šŸ˜¬

If I donā€™t have major issues 4-5 years. If I have no issues Iā€™d keep it for 8. Love this truck minus the engine shudder. If it gets fixed tomorrow - going in for TSB 23-2209 to fix this issue - then I would definitely keep it for a while

My F150 lasted for 25 years, sold it with 75K miles. I'll probably wait a year or two for another similarly sized, but hybrid pickup be that Toyota, Dodge, etc., but not from Ford...

My Ram 1500 lasted me 24 years. Not sure if the Mav will last that long. The road salt in NY destroys vehicles and there seems to be many places in the undercarriage for it to accumulate. I plan to get it ceramic coated and under coated before winter. That should buy me a few more years, hopefully. I'd like this to be my last vehicle, but we'll see.

I will run it until it dies unless significant and/or costly maintenance items pop up. The cool thing is, replacement engines even should be fairly inexpensive. We like to hold on to our cars for a long time. Our Porsche Boxster, which we bought used, was made the month and year we were married. Once we discovered that we both agreed it's never going away. We're not a fan of replacing cars every few years. Lot of wasted money.

Today a person can buy a new car, drive it for a few years and get a large portion of their money back, which makes driving a new car as cheap as driving a used car. My '23 Mav with 8,000 miles is worth $4500 more than I have in it. I really like my Maverick but I'm not sure I want to drive a Ford that's out if warranty. It will be interesting to see which manufacturers jump into this hot segment. I probably will buy a '26 ?????

Iā€™m 62 years old and have been married for 40 years so just like my wonderful wifeā€” Till Death do us part ā€” , LOL Iā€™ve had a lot of different trucks in my lifetime but this Maverick is a keeper, a 2023 XLT 2.0 and drives like a dream.

How long do you plan to keep your Ford Maverick Truck?
Once mine comes in early/mid next year...Bare minimum of a decade...hopefully longer. I don't put a ton of km/miles on my vehicles but nevertheless it's getting rustproofing before every winter and I'll err on the side of caution when it comes to scheduled maintenance.

Probably my last new vehicle , had the Mav for almost a year and a half no issues , I will keep up on the maintenance and Krown rust check it yearly. I'm 61, getting to old to be making truck payments all the time.

Well, my Maverick will tell me when itā€™s time. I hope to keep it for as long as it is reliable. I would think 5 or 6 years without anything major costing me, would be where I would say itā€™s reliable and Iā€™m happy.

10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
