I plan to keep mine 20+ years. I was able to make a Trailblazer last for almost 19 years so I think 20 is within reach. I've got an '04 Pontiac/Toyota Vibe that could go another 10+ years. Unless I get tired of the check engine light that's been on since 2010.

My dad bought a '94 Silverado that I received after he passed away 23 years ago. I still have it. Same with my Maverick. I'm selling the Silverado and hopefully someone after me will keep the Maverick for a long time.

How long do you plan to keep your Ford Maverick Truck?
Was supposed to be my last vehicle
Now I know this thing ain’t gonna last
It’s a flawed parts bin truck
As soon as another 40 miles to the gallon vehicle is invented that i would actually drive I will trade up

When I read engine shudder I had to look at the year and was astonished to see you have a 23! I knew it happened in the 22s and I had it happen once but I thought the issue was solved in the 23s. Knock on wood, I haven’t experienced it in my 23 yet🤞🏻 I do hope it gets fixed tomorrow.
Got the TSB update. My mav now runs as smooth as people say their hybrids run. I now understand the term buttery smooth. 50 miles in since the update and not once did it shudder and I can’t even tell when it goes from electric to ice and back. Actually found that it regens harder in eco over slippery and my mpgs seem to be increasing. Now I’m really happy with this truck. I knew there wasn’t something quite right about it. Just glad they fixed it!

Drove my 2005 Sport Trac fifteen years/168,000 miles. Loved it, but the 16mpg had to go when the Maverick came out
It’s amazing how many model years, almost decades, the Ford Ranger/Sport trac platform got the same 16 MPG.

The Mavericks, both power plants, are such a huge improvement in a relatively short timeframe.

If my sturdy, reliable, old Ranger would have gotten even 25MPG I would have kept it to this day.

I am 60 years old, and hope this is the last vehicle I ever buy.

If it is still reliable and not requiring major engine/trans or e-module repairs, I'll keep it until I no longer have a use for it. Hopefully that means 20+ years. To date, the longest I've kept a vehicle was 9 years, but that got me through many years of daily commute in ATL traffic and lots of road trips. I drive less now...

Forever or when the wheels fall off. (Yes, this happened on my 2nd Ranger after 14 years of age).
At my current age, it may outlast me..

I hope..

Until the wheels fall off. Hopefully that's a long time. This is my very first brand new vehicle. For the past 40 years always bought used. Got tired of fixing someone else's issues.
