My "original" plan was to install a Homelink module somewhere in the truck (I've installed them in several of my former vehicles). However, looking at the overhead sunglasses compartment (which I won't use since my regular eye glasses are light sensitive tinted), I decided to try something. The material that lines the compartment is "velcro friendly" so I removed the sunviser clip from my garage door opener, slapped a piece of velcro on the back, and positioned it near the top edge of the door. So far it appears to be a good solution and saves me a lot of wiring and drilling hassles. If I later decide to install a Homelink unit, that compartment door area might also be a good spot to install it, and maybe there is a easily accessible power source up there.
