I was happy enough with my Mavericks Sync 3 and Android Auto until we bought my wife a new 2025 Chevy Equinox. After driving that a few times, I feel letdown when I get back in my truck. :(
Her dash, with all it's options, customizations, and unique setting for each person/profile make me...
I like Android Auto, but believe it could be a lot better.
I do like it for the maps, whether Waze or Google Maps, for the ability to recieve RCS & SMS messages (Syn 3 won't do RCS) and one of the biggest, the voice commands, or Google Assistant.
After using voice commands thru AA, Fords...
Dump run today for the old Maverooni, after doing some remodelling in the basement. Found black mold on the concrete wall under the panelling. So, gotta get rid of that and no panelling is going back on it. Bare walls with maybe paint.
It's always something. :(
Cory, that is an impressive amount of modifying and engineering you've done, no doubt.
You're right though. For me, I'm looking more for something I remember from my distant past. So, stock would be what I'm after.
Still, nice job! (y)

This reminds me of a situation we had recently. My wife and I own two homes. When we bought the second house a few years ago our agent shared we needed a different type policy for it, which was more expensive than our main homes policy. Not knowing alot about insurance, I took their word for it...
Jack, my guess is it could be an issue where they're MP3 formats for the songs but MP4 formats for the videos and the Maverick can't play an MP4 files audio. I had the same issue with my Harley's infotainment. I had apps that would play the MP4 video's as songs, but my Harley wouldn't play the...
Guy, was that using the Sync system built in reciever, ie thru Sirius's satellites, or via the app? I wonder if the satellite antenna maybe has an issue if using that? A warranty issue maybe?
Good luck!
Brian, I'm guessing you were/are able to transfer the subscription to your subsequent vehicles then? Were Sirius and XM one company at that time? If not, does that make a difference?
I recently bought a new Garmin DriveSmart 65 w/traffic GPS to use on my snowmobile. I was able to buy the snowmobile trail maps for the upper midwest from map company in Michigan. For that purpose it works very well, better than a cell phone, even with the On X offroad app. Nice large display...
Hi, Guy. If Ford is still offering the "Fordpass points for Sirius XM credit" then yes. I did it twice. 20,000 points = $100 Sirius credit. It will show up in your Sirius account as a gift card.(ON EDIT: They do still offer it. )...
I've some favorites that are "app only" too, and why I initially started using the app in my Maverick. Now I use the app about 50% of the time in the vehicle. Someday I may go for a subscription that is only for the app and save a few bucks.
My hope is Android Auto will integrate music apps...
I've read that the audio quality from streaming Sirius XM via your phone is actually higher quality than the signal from the satellites. My ears can't hear a difference, but some say they can.
I do like the extra channels I can get thru my phone. My main beef with streaming via the phone is the...
John, I just checked mine and it is working correctly also. I see there was a recent Sirius XM update, so perhaps it's that?
Whatever it is, I'll take it. (y)
