Nice work!

It is 1000% worth it. I have a Tremor but used and did all the same things you did. Only difference with my fogs is I went with the SSC1's. This is the way the trucks should've came from the factory.I've seen some chatter over time about fog lights and the FX4 bumper, so here's my experience. Starting off I used THIS thread for a majority of the research to get me started. Antonio's work was a HUGE help. It seems like a bit of work, but 100% worth it, and works like it came on the truck.
Things purchased:
Diode Dynamics SS3 pods - HERE
JJC Offroad Brackets - HERE
F150 Headlight Switch - HERE
50' x3 16ga wire and heat shrinks for the harness
Ford Terminals for BCM Connection - HERE
Wire loom for harness to protect wire - HERE

Tons of adjustment in these brackets, so it takes a bit to get them exactly how you want it. I left mine angled out a little to match the curve of the bumper.

Cutting the bumper made me a little nervous but the JJC bezels give you some room to work with. A dremel works perfect for this. The bezels have 4 bolts that get secured from the back side.

Made the harness myself. It was pretty straight forward. Since the brackets attach to the frame you can tie up the harness to the other wires without having to have slack for removing the bumper.

Ran the wire harness through the grommet on the passenger side and down to the BCM

Next swapped the headlight switch for the F150 one so I can have the fog light button, with an oem look. Simple as popping the old one out and plugging the new one in.

You'll have to use Forscan to enable to left and right fog lights for them to work with the BCM wiring.

Pretty cool the light even shows up in the cluster like it was made for it.

And now the real proof, the before and after. Like I said i left mine slightly angled outward to match the bumper. This might look off to some people but I welcome the extra side output to help light up ditches better.

For me, the added side lighting is a huge improvement. I'd do it all over again if I had to.It is 1000% worth it. I have a Tremor but used and did all the same things you did. Only difference with my fogs is I went with the SSC1's. This is the way the trucks should've came from the factory.
Agreed. I added some additional auxiliary lighting from Diode Dynamics and I got all the brackets from JJC-LLC when he had his own website, because I offroad my truck often, and the additional lighting has served me well living in rural North Dakota. For me, the added side lighting is a huge improvement. I'd do it all over again if I had to.
Interesting and cool use of the F150 switch. I like it. I went with a wireless light controller off of Amazon for my grille and ditch lights.Looks great! The F-150 switch with my ditch lights is my favorite mod.
It's more involved with installing since you need Forscan, but I wanted it to look/function like it came that way. Really even more surprised that there was even the light on the dash that works.Interesting and cool use of the F150 switch. I like it. This was my original setup as well. Much easier and much cheaper.Interesting and cool use of the F150 switch. I like it. I went with a wireless light controller off of Amazon for my grille and ditch lights.
When you put in the SSC1s, did you use the JJC brackets that attach to the bumper cover at the bottom of the light itself? That seems to be what he is selling now, but I am a little concerned about vibrations and flexing from the bumper cover. It is 1000% worth it. The ones on his ebay for the Tremor also mount with the tow hooks like mine do.When you put in the SSC1s, did you use the JJC brackets that attach to the bumper cover at the bottom of the light itself? The SS3 brackets (and maybe JJC's older brackets for smaller lights) attach to the frame per Austin's original post.
Nope because the JJC brackets for the Tremor use the tow hooks as the mounting point. They are as solid as can be. I also bought them over two years ago so I have had them a while and I have no idea what he makes now. When you put in the SSC1s, did you use the JJC brackets that attach to the bumper cover at the bottom of the light itself? Mine were the pre-backlit SS3. If I were to do it, I'd tap into the marker lights on the bumper since they're always lit when the truck is on.I asked this question in another FX4 fog light thread with no response. Is anyone wiring in the SS3 amber backlight and, if so, how? I'm thinking I want connect mine to the parking light circuit.
