Not sure if this is the correct place for this question but...can someone tell me how FORScan can enable fog lamps when fog lamps are not an option on the Maverick. And same goes for the BCM.

See how they did it. My question is how FORScan is able to detect fog lights when fog lights are not an option on the Maverick. Doesn’t the BCM need to know that they were an option in order to detect them? Just planning ahead for my instal. thanks.

Forscan is a programming tool, nothing more. With it, you are able to program the BCM to understand that there were/weren't options included on the vehicle.

The BCM is the same for an Escape which has fog lights. The software is the same across all(?) models and just programmed for what vehicle it's in. There are all kinds of settings for other vehicles and trim packages.

Forscan is a programming tool, nothing more. With it, you are able to program the BCM to understand that there were/weren't options included on the vehicle.

Ok. So it lists all options available on Fords and we choose what to enable/disable

on forscan I went to the BCM control module and scrolled down and found the switch to enable the fog lights . On the first page you can see it on Forscan.

Yes that is the F150 headlight switch.

Where did you order the switch? I just received my DD kit and need to order the switch and green lead. Every site I’ve visited asks for the year of F150.

If you go to my first post the part number for the switch is there , just google the number and should be able to find it.

The terminal connectors are dirt cheap.

I'm trying to find the part numbers. Everything online is saying they are TE https://www.mouser.com/c/?q=1924955 (for 18AWG or smaller) but I can't find a receipt with TE terminals from my project. I think the Molex terminals for the bumper connector are the same size. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/538-33012-3001-LP (14-16AWG)

Look other places. Should be about $17, and yes, it is a 5-pack. I ordered mine from Lakeland Ford, but they are here as well:

I am planning on running individual right/left (two wires), partially to spread the lighting load to multiple BCM pins, but also in case I want to enable cornering lights or something similar someday.

I found mine on Rockauto.com. Description said there were by the "each", but when I ordered two, I got two bags of five. YMMV.
