Nice! Can you provide a shot of where you located the switch on your dash? I am wondering if it’s safe to locate the on/off switch on the far right side of the headlight switch cluster.
thanks.
This is the rocker switch that came with the lights. Just enough room

There is an unused wire, the orange one, that goes to the relay. I was wondering if any one who also installed these lights found a use for this unused wire.
On other vehicles, that wire is used to turn off the fog lights when the high beams turn on. However, the Maverick doesn't use discrete power for the high beams, so it can't be used in this application. The high beam on the Maverick is triggered by LIN communication to the headlight, and the wire that feeds the high beam is always on -- even if the high beam isn't.

For the deactivation wire to work, you would need to get a module (like the questionably-named "CANM8 Cannect") to decode the LIN messages at the headlight.

Mid-Independent? Want to run fog lights in this position and using the diode switch provided to turn on/off.

Blue wire/green stripe Pin3 passenger headlamp is where we all have it if we followed diode instructions. Video says its just an activation wire not a power supply since we are getting that directly from the battery.

Tap the white activation wire where the instructions say to tap the blue backlight wire-- pin 10 of the 12-pin connector in the passenger wheel-well, which powers the front side marker.

I’m also in Arizona and I’m 65 and will also be doing the install on my 2024 AWD XL, I would really like to see how you installed the on/off switch ? Where you ran it thru the firewall, did you use supplied switch etc ?
Yes. I used the suppled rocker switch and ran it through the access hole/plug that is on the fire wall under the steering wheel. I cut a couple of slits with a straight edge in the rubber plug and fed the wires through.

How did you get the rocker switch connected. I saw a picture of the headlight switch and it looks to have a black plastic housing around it. I imagine there are wires in there. Does the back cover come off so the hole can be drilled? Thanks

Looks sharp.

This is my favourite mod I did in my 23. Waiting for them to make it for the 25.

If you are familiar with Forscan and wire the lights individually from BCM pin 6 & 7 you can have the fogs turn on when cornering (natural curves or turning without signalling.

Turn signal will also shut off the fog in the direction indicated.

I used a step drill bit to make the hole. A little at a time until I got it just tight enough to hold it in with friction. There is no nut on the rocker switch to secure it. There are no wires from the head light switch in that area. I did remove the whole housing from the dash with trim tools before cutting the hole. It pulls straight out.

To be clear, I suggest pulling the headlamp switch with the grey/blue trim attached. Don’t try to take the black switch housing out until the whole component is out. There are 4 clips on each corner of the trim, and once you get your trim tool underneath, pull straight out. Then if you feel the need you can have easy access to remove the black component if you want to drill into it a little easier.

Thanks. I seen someone else just popped out the headlight component only. He claimed it came out easy with trim tools.

That did the trick. (Both activation wires going to same wire)

I also mounted my diode switch that way...
-I didnt get it perfectly pointing up/down
-I wasnt able to get it as far left as OP (maybe hybrid switch doesnt have as much space back there?)

I installed @Diode Dynamics fog lights yesterday in 100 plus degrees in AZ. Yes I was that impatient. Install took about 4 hours total for this 67 year old geezer. Install was not complicated at all and the instructions were great.

Taking the bumper cover off and reinstalling it took up most of the time. The only thing different that I would suggest is don’t use a Dremmel to cut out the openings. It’s hard to get it at the right angle to cut. I used my oscillating tool. It cut clean, straight and easy. Don’t be afraid to try this project.

The quality is great and I think they really improved the look of my truck.

Looks great! I'm so jealous! Have wanted to do this for ages as I appreciate the added illumination offered up having good fogs. Removing the bumper can sound a bit intimidating for some (I installed towing cleats in a Chevy Colorado, so I have some experience with bumper removal), so you sharing your experience will give others more confidence to do their fog install. I do like the DD product and I believe they put a lot of effort in making a reasonably priced kit that can be installed by just about anyone.

@whitsoneric48 looks like Diode Dynamics is focused on bringing other items to production per this response from them in another thread. May have to wait awhile to have their fog lights on your 2025.
The lower Valance looks very similar to the 22 - 24 valance, I don't see why it wouldn't work 🤔

Looks great, nice job on install! I just had mine installed by a local shop, they did a phenomenal job, very pleased. Diode Dynamics has very detailed instructions, but I was leery of removing the front facia myself. These look like they could have been stock from Ford. Anyone on the fence about getting these should just go ahead and do it! Here are some before and after pics;

Looking Good! I can appreciate you getting it done at a shop. Taking the bumper cover off and then on again was not difficult, but his old body of mine is still paying the price of the labor. The end result is still a satisfying feeling. Whether you do it yourself or not. Your truck loves it too.
