My Hybrid Maverick is currently being finished with the Base Plate fabrication, installation of Invisi Brake and all electrical wiring for flat tow. I'm going to tow the Maverick behind our MH.

I was planning on flat towing but I think I will use a dolly instead.

Flat towing runs miles on the odometer, the dolly does not.

Flat towing requires a baseplate and braking system.

Dolly towing uses the dolly brakes.

Backing the dolly is a big PITA, but I can deal with it.
FYI. Flat towing does not run up miles on the odometer. I respect your choice of towing. I have dolly towed two different vehicles and couldn’t wait to go back to flat towing. I am a slow learner I guess.

Roadmaster posted some picks of a CO Lariat being fitted for a baseplate on a RV forum website. Coming soon…..

I'm looking at the Maverick as a vehicle to tow behind our motor home. Has anyone seen any information on flat-towing the Maverick? If so, are there any special equipment options that are required? (Engine, transmission,...)
Yes, the Hybrid can be flat towed. Download the Mavrick Owners Manual, it will state it there.

Roadmaster posted some pics on iRV2 the thread has since been taken down. The thread got a bit off topic thus the removal. From what I saw I looks like a fairly easy install. No trimming of the fascia. Just a little trimming of the air dam. The install for the escape hybrid is very similar. Here is a link for the escape install,

Here is a picture of the first Hybrid Maverick being towed. I am using a NSA Brute Elite tow bar with the newly designed Roadmaster Base Plate and all wiring. I also had a Roadmaster Invisibrake Braking System. Also included with the install is a trickle charger from the tow vehicle. They asked me let everyone know that the Base Plate will be available in 7 to 8 weeks and to please not call asking for date to be available but feel free if have questions about System. They are very busy getting everything available.

The Maverick towed very nice and the Roadmaster system is very quick and easy to unhook and hook up. Took maybe 2 minutes to hook/unhook easiest I have ever done.

David, my XLT will be Roadmaster’s prototype #2 and I am scheduled to be at Roadmaster Mon, 1/31. I too will be using the Ready Brute Elite 2. No more trips with a tow dolly 👏
Why did you pay for the Invisibrake Braking System if you are using the Ready Brute Elite tow bar?
So they had it ready in four days, not five?

They took 5 days for mine yours may not. I decided not to use because I couldn't really see a way of getting through everything like my jeep. Just to let you know NSA does not have the correct clevis for the Elite and Roadmaster. The clevis they sent me for the roadmaster does not fit any of Roadmaster parts. They had to adapt there part to fit my clevis. Order the aluminum 3/4 inch clevis for Roadmaster from NSA.

Thx for the advice on the clevis. My motorhome will not be with me for the install, just my Maverick, but it sounds like should consider bringing the tow bar with me, or at least the NSA provided clevis so it can be modified.
Again, much appreciated 👍
