Do you already have the powered subwoofer or know which you’re planning on? Reason I ask is you can order them from one of these guys and basically have it wired up plug and play (just have to run them to your amp/sub location along with your power ground)

That said Kit 6 would give you what you need if running behind the back seat…. If you’re mounting an underseat sub under either the front deiver or passenger seats, kit 5 would work for that
Thanks BootXL76. I think i'm going with a hideaway 10". It looks like a wiring harness is included with the hideaway (only 7' for the speaker leads). Any idea which kit provides only the loopback harness itself or which you would recommend to connect right to it and avoid any hassle.

this looks like a great solution to add a hideaway sub. does he also have a harness that will let me add a key 200.4?
Contact him, he's responsive.

I wish I knew of this before I ordered the LLJ harness. I bought a couple sets of rear speaker connectors from you On Amazon, I would have much rather bought direct.
I just received my LLJ and they sent me the wrong harness. It's a pain trying to contact them and it costs twice as much. I don't have the time or patience to screw around with LLJ so I went ahead and ordered a hoelauto one. I simply trust him more.

I noticed some of the harnesses have load resistors and some don't. Can anyone confirm if the Kicker Key amps or Audiosource ones need load resisters? I'd rather order them already wired in if so.

For those looking to add amps to their systems without cutting/tapping the factory harness, I’ve found a few different options. I can confirm that any new style 32 pin square connector for a non amplified/non B&O 6 speaker system will work (example the bronco sport).

I got my hands on a “naked” DIY loopback harness from LLJ CUSTOMS…. Their site is a tad confusing but they have a few different options from a naked harness to a fully wired harness with LCAs, amps, etc…. For anything custom there’s a decent lead time, for the naked DIY harness it got here within about a week. I was able to test it last night where I did temporary connections reconnecting the speaker leads to themselves and twisting off my leads for the hideaway and everything functioned (it’s a pretty tight fit adding this behind the head unit). (Credit to @Red Ryder for being the first with a picture of the actual harness).. it’s $60 for the basic loopback harness and prices work their way up.

Another option is PLUGANDPLAYKITS (whom llj customs claims stole their patented designs). They also have a wide range of options to have them fully wire up and have ready to go. I ordered kit #16 with a kicker key 200.4 and an lc2iPro. I’ve been having some issues with the high level connection on my hideaway (even tried a 2nd unit thinking it might be the hideaway) and decided to change everything to low level. An lc2iPro and key would run me $400…. The kit with it all wired up and ready to go costs you $530…. So it’s basically $70 more than buying the naked harness amp and lca separately and running the speed wire and wrapping on Tessa tape etc…. I’ll follow back up with review once I have it in the next week or so.
***2/7/22 update - so I ordered on Friday (2/4) and Joe called me personally today to let me know it was being boxed up and shipped out today - he’ll likely be adding a maverick specific option in the near future (even though the bronco kit is the same, which he checked into double verified after seeing my note attached to my order).

last one I found is SOUNDSGOODSTEREO which is the priciest of the 3 not offering a DIY harness…. Their wired and wrapped loopback harness is $245 and $275 with RCA tips. In the questions section of that link page above, you’ll see my question I asked with their answer.

figured I’d put all of these in the same place, as I know some were waiting (or hoping to have available when they got their trucks)until harnesses were available.
I ordered a bare harness from LLJ customs a month ago and have not received it yet. Tried emailing them and texting and no replies in two days. That's not good service. 😐

No, it is not good service.
When I initially sourced them (November), I don't think there were any other known options other than cutting the harness.
I think I was the first to order one for the Maverick and it took a while and was frustrating. I alluded to that earlier but didn't want to sound slanderous in the event my experience was atypical.
Fortunately, I didn't have truck yet, so my frustration took longer to mount.
In the end, about a month following the order, it took an email or two telling them my intentions (which were genuine) was to request a charge-back from my cardholder.
Ultimately, I finally received the product, which was finely crafted and professionally packaged, really nice. It worked as expected and continues to do so. It is a shame that their sales and customer service performance isn't on par with the product.

They should step up their game as there are other options now.

Man I need some educating from a Guru!
Looking into the aftermarket harness pass-thru or intercept options. My inept understanding is that pass through would use the stock amplification to the speakers.... Intercept, would collect it before amplification? Trying to avoid cutting into the stock wiring as much as possible. I am curious if I can use the Kicker Key 200.4 to run door and rear speakers only? Leaving the tweets on the stock amp. I see they are wired off the door "woofers"...... So do the tweets literally have wires coming from the door woofer to power them? Is there a cross over between door and dash? AM I OVER THINKING THIS? lol!

I tore into the wiring today, I've been thinking many of the same questions. Gus from Hoelwiring (he seems real knowledgeable and helpful) has been helping me get a harness together. He's going to make me something for run the fronts and rears off a Key 200.4 and I'll use another amp for subs.

The tweeters and door woofers are spliced off the factory wiring. If you want to run them through a crossover that wire is going to be severed at some point. I resolved today just to run new tweeter wiring. Running anything through the doors seems impossible without getting messy. The doors only have 2 wires, they do not loop from the door speakers back to the tweeters. Running new tweeter wiring looks pretty easy, mostly the driver side will need some fishing.

I had the neighbor kid 3D print me that bracket for behind the glovebox that was uploaded by Red Ryder. Its fits the crossovers perfectly.
