This should work with any garage door with a manual momentary switch. It uses a WiFi smart relay module that can be powered by USB.

1. Download EweLink Phone App and create user account

2. Configure Smart Relay in the App

3. Add eWeLink "Skill" to Alexa and create an Alexa "Routines" to open and close garage door. The Relay doesn't know if the garage door is actually open or closed so it's just so you can use either voice command to operate it.

4. Wire into physical switch

I believe you can operate the door with Siri as well, if connected to CarPlay and your home WiFi with a LiftMaster/Chamberlin opener.

I'm sure, but this is without a phone using Ford's built in Alexa over its built in mobile signal. It also works with any garage door for only $12.

This is nice. I have a door that only worked with the aladdin connect app, I ended up using IFTTT to add widgets to the carplay home screen and a simple server running on an old PC to operate it.

Keep in mind that Alexa and the Maverick WiFi are only free for the first year so you would need to pay for premium connectivity to continue using this. It’s like $13 a month. So it’s more than only $12. I’m thinking the home link mirror might be a better investment.

Yup. I already have Homelink Mirror but it's more than $12..lol. Some cars come with Internet option bundles. Also you can still use Alexa on your phone, house, and garage if you have Alexa units.

I originally bought a Kia takeoff but didn't like how they looked.
