I tried to order the bare harness listed at $40 but when I go to pay the price changes to $75. I tried to message the site but no response in 5 days.
They were not much fun to deal with, took a few emails and patience, but I did get a good harness for $55

Had I not been waiting for my Maverick, it would have been less tolerable.

Did you mount both the LC2i Pro and the Key 200.4 in the same locations as BootXL76?

Today's mission for me is to sort out the mounting locations for the Key and LC2i-p. Thought I would get as much input and ideas as possible. I did plug the lljcustoms harness in and verify polarity and power on the leads. Since the LC2i Pro only draws 200mA, I think I will power it from the harness and use the LC2i-p's internal load resistors, although I have no ideas which setting is correct for Ford HU.
On Wednesday, I installed the Morel Maximo woofers in the door and applied a bunch of Killmat. You guys are right about the door sound (front vs. rear) after deadening.

They harness for the Kicker key is short so it’s mounted behind the glove box. Working on some brackets now to make it permanent.

The Lc2i harness reaches all the way to behind the seat so I have that run underneath all the trim on the passenger side To the back.

Nice job on the bracket. Love how you utilized the existing anchors.

Thanks for the info and great photos. That installation looks great!

So, are you planning to feed the Key from the LC2iPro, or just the sub?

In that harness from plug and play kits the key is already wired in off high levels (including power and ground to the ACM leads for those)…. then splits off the signal for lc2i

That's great and thanks for the info. I would love to wire mine that way. In fact, I'm starting to wonder if I need the LC2i Pro since Kicker recommends going hi-level in for both the Key and the Hideaway. I originally thought I would benefit from the AccuBass, but I'm not detecting bass rolloff. I'm also wondering if some of flimay2k's bass weirdness was phase related.

Interesting about powering the Key from the ACM. The harness from LLJ Customs provides a 12V constant and ground leads, but the pinout card specifies 7A max for this lead. I was going to use it on the LC2i-P, but the Key potentially needs up to 20A. I would like to pull power for it from the fuse panel, not sure which type of fuse tap to get until I go look at it. I can power the HS-10 from the battery in back (hybrid).

I got the LC2i for future upgrade ability since I do want to build a box for behind the seat later down the road. It also gives me the ability to add a smaller Amp for the rear speakers since the LC2i pro has both Main output RCA's and Bass output RCA's, in the case that I decide to Bi-amp the front speakers/tweeters.

I figure if I am paying this much for a harness I should just get everything with it since I cannot replicate the quality of the Plug and Play kits harness. It is just excellent.

Sounds like a solid plan.
I am going to bi-amp, but maybe I should wire to accommodate the LC2i Pro behind the seat in case I decide to amp the back speakers and/or upgrade the sub as you mentioned. Unfortunately, my upgrade options are limited on the hybrid due to the power budget.
I did find a fuse location on the panel to fuse-tap for the Key. Position #24 is listed as unused (spare) in the manual, and it is a Micro2 series. I verified constant voltage and I ordered a tap.

I have decided to remove and abandon my Morel Maximo components as I cannot mount the tweeters without severe butchering. I have the Powerbass components on the way. I will not be plugging the tweeters into the factory harness however. I will run new wires to the Key to bi-amp.

So much for planning and buying equipment before actually getting the Maverick. It was delayed several times and I'm out of my 60-day window with Crutchfield. I suppose I'll eBay the Morels at discount.

Are you referring to the PLUGANDPLAYKITS or LLJ CUSTOMS harness?
I have the bare LLJ CUSTOMS harness and I believe most of the others went with the PLUGANDPLAYKITS harness.

Hey
BootXL76
Off topic here but you are the expert and helped me so much on my front door speaker install ,the Morels are banging! So I am thinking of tackling replacing the rear speakers. I need help again :) since the morels in the front are so great I am thinking of the same but 4 " for the rears. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_210MU402X/Morel-Maximo-Ultra-Coax-402-MKII.html .will they fit??? 2 inch depth I believe .And since Crutchfield gives away harnessed do you have any idea of the Tetra harness part# to make this plug and play .I truly appreciate all your help immensely Regards Joe

Oh I’m not an “expert” by any means, but thanks Joe I appreciate that and glad i was able to help.
They should fit without issue, you’ll just want to snap two of those ears off of them as there’s only two mounting holes, you’ll also want speaker foam or even weather stripping to make a seal with the stock grill…. As far as adaptors, I believe crutchfield carrys the 72-5600 (what I used, but you have to work them in and they feel like they don’t fit)…. A few weren’t able to get them to work (in both the maverick and bronco, while others like myself were able to make them work).
these right here are a perfect fit tho, someone from the bronco forum made them and started reselling - 2021 2022 Ford Bronco Speaker Wiring Harness Adapter
