I just had the same thing. I’m picking the MAV up this afternoon. Been there a week looking for the origin. Turns out it was a poorly seated vent and flap. Wind and truck body movement caused this. Supposedly now is resolved . We’ll see. I’ll keep you posted. Hope yours is an easy fix as well. It just takes time to track these down.
If that is the problem can you get more specifics on how they fixed it? I'd love to have mine fixed, it's so annoying. Just to be sure, was it more of a clunking noise coming from up by the front of the windshield when going over bumps or turning hard left/right?

I have a 2023 Maverick Hybrid that has had a rattle in the dash since the day i brought it home. And now it has a clunk in the front that sounds like it is coming from suspension. It is in the dealer now and they just called to let me know they can hear the rattles but can not find them and wanted to know when they can bring the truck back and if i would be ok with the rattles. Has anybody else had rattles like this
Since Day 1 on my 2022 XLT! I think it's a cord or wiring component hitting the underside of the dash, directly in the middle behind the little infotainment screen. Solution? Turn up the radio (Sorry that's all I got, lol)

It's likely the windshield alignment pins or the vent. Post a video if you'd like and we might be able to confirm...

Wow thanks for the offer! Will do. That's why this site is so good ... plus Ford listening in the background 👌

I just picked it up and it’s doing the same thing. I take it back Tuesday to see if they can have another crack at it.

I have heard it about two times...
Have to remember when it occurs again, Of what was happening when it does.
That way I can find the culprit..

Scroll to the bottom of this thread. And as someone else said, fix something to eat and drink (maybe a strong cocktail). Lotsa threads on this common annoyance.

Mine was so bad, I was going to order a '25 model and hope it didn't rattle so badly. That is, until I saw that the '25MY physical HVAC controls were removed and put into the stupid Infotainment screen, requiring looking at the screen to adjust the settings. That, and the redesign from hell headlight eye patches. Really bummed about it all.

Best advice I have seen.

Oh yea. The part about looking at the bottom of the page, for threads already posted is a good idea too😁

Good morning, Phred. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this rattle concern?

Mine was also so irritating (over the headliner passenger side) that I did order a 25 on Aug 2.
I did manage to "fix" mine though. Then saw Tim's (Ford Videoguy) YT videos on the 13.2 screen and 8" dash. Also watched several 23&24 Escape videos on the dash. Definitely do not want to go there. As long as mine does not start it's rattling again I much prefer my 24 Lariat Hybrid to the same thing in a 25. I have no need for AWD or 4K.
I did cancel my 25 order, although I don't believe the dealer actually canceled the but just "took my name off it".
Also curious, will the 25 AWD Maverick have the same RDU (rear drive unit) as the Bronco
Sport. I had a 22 BS Outer Banks, so still check their forum now/again and am now seeing some posting of the RDU failing on some non Badlands trims. Just wondering if it will follow to the 25 AWD Mavericks.

I guess I'm lucky. Both my 2022 and 2024 Mavericks are rattle and problem free.

TEST DRIVE UNIT, HEARD INTERMITTENT RATTLE/POP NOISE DURING BODY

BEST NEAR BASE OF WINDSHIELD, ABOUT 1/4 OF THE WAY ACROSS FROM THE LEFT. REMOVE COWL TRIM AND WIPER MOTOR, CHECK AND VERIFY NO OBVIOUS SOURCES OF NOISE FOUND. TEST DRIVE UNIT.

FOUND NOISE IS STILL PRESENT.

WHILE DRIVING, FOUND NOISE GOES AWAY WHEN TOP OF IP IS PRESSED NEAR DEFROSTER VENT. ACCESS DEFROST GRILLE PANEL, FOUND UPPER DEFROST PLENUM NOT PROPERLY LOCATED ON IP BRACE/LOCATING TABS ALLOWING VENT TO POP/RATTLE DURING BODY FLEX. ACCESS IP, REMOVE AND REINSTALL UPPER DEFROST PLENUM PROPERLY ON LOCATING TABS. REINSTALL IP, WIPER MOTOR AND COWL. TEST DRIVE UNIT TO CONFIRM REPAIR, NO FURTHER NOISE HEARD AT THIS TIME. NM TIME TO REMOVE AND REINSTALL DEFROST PLENUM AS THERE IS NO LABOR OPERATION PUBLISHED IN SLTS. CODE TO 18490.

Taking back Tuesday morning as rattle/pop is still present as described in technician account.

Noise is definitely on the inside for me, not under the windshield cowl. The vents and the upper dash have no insulation between them as far as I can tell. Not sure how the tech removed and reinstalled anything as to get to those parts, just about the entire dash needs to be ripped apart. Very, very poor build quality and an incredibly stupid place for Ford to save money.
