IDK seems like it could be risky mounting it inside the fuel door. I know it is just low voltage battery in the keypad, but any kind of electric arc possibly could ignite the fuel vapors trapped in the fuel door.
The 2025 owner's manual states the following... No mention of synthetic oil. Oil just needs to meet Ford specs WSS-M2C962-A1 and viscosity SAE 0W-20 Motor Oil

I took delivery on my 2025 Maverick XLT hybrid fwd. (traded in my 2022 fwd. Eco) IMO unless you need the 4K tow package or have exceptional amounts of snow there is no advantage to AWD. A set of snow tires will likely do fine in most snow belt areas with fwd.
When I installed mine, I just used the provided screws and installed over the tailgate. The only thing I wasn't sure of was where to use the provided pieces of sticky tape.
