Is cv joints under power train 800000 warranty? Constant velocity joint

I know this is an old post now... but for everyone's information: powertrain warranty on Maverick is 5 years/60,000 miles.
The front half-shafts are covered by powertrain warranty.

There is extended coverage for certain "unique hybrid components" for 8 years/100,000 miles. This part is not covered by that.

Just because there is a problem, that doesn't mean that there will be a recall.

It strikes again!

Ford REALLY needs to address this issue across all of their Mavericks.
After having mine replaced once already, I started getting a vibration under load less than 10k miles later so I decided to just get rid of the Maverick. This was my third and last Ford.

Had a set replaced in june at 20k miles. Warranty axes started shaking again this month, I'm at 31k miles. Dealership declined Warranty this time because of my front leveling kit and one size up tires. Funny thing is, those were on the vehicle the first time around and did the Warranty work.

What size tire are you now? And how did they know about the leveling kit? I feel like the 1inch kit is subtle enough they wouldnt even notice it.

Looking to get in contact with someone with ford that cares about helping me . I’ve reached out to multiple dealerships all saying there is no recall on the cv joint or axel and they don’t know of any issues and yet there are forums here dedicated to this exact problem. My truck is shaking when I press the gas and getting worse. I’ve heard nothing about resolving this. Let me know friends
Keep your eye on the boots to make sure they aren't torn or off

You should see if the replacement parts are the same part number as the original equipment - if so, same bad parts were put on, as from factory...hopefully the parts get updated and get new part numbers soon, if not already...They have already acknowledged the problem on Escape hybrids...

Transmission: HF45
Built on or before: 05-Oct-2023

Issue: Some 2023 Escape Hybrid vehicles built on or before 05-Oct-2023 may experience a pop or click noise during Drive/Reverse engagements most often from the left side axle halfshaft, or in some cases the right axle halfshaft on front wheel drive (FWD) models. This may be due to an internal issue with the front axle halfshaft.
My Maverick started with the clicking or popping when parking, but I have had a vibration a few times under acceleration, so watching mine...12k miles

235/70/17, so really not much bigger at all. I also changed the sway bar links so maybe they noticed and went to look for a level. I dont know

What level of Ford Warranty do I need to cover CV Joints? My understanding is Base, Extra, and Premium all provide CV Joint coverage. Am I understanding correctly?

I never brought mine in to have the second set looked at. I sold the Maverick. Would have been interesting if they denied me for upsized tires. Clearly it's a widespread issue and I'm sure Ford is looking for any reason possible to deny a warranty claim. Might be worth it for you to try another dealer if there's one within reasonable distance.

2023 XLT Hybrid with 19k miles. I took it to the dealer because of the vibration when accelerating. They did a road test and used a "vibration analyzer". They suspect internal damage to either axle. Now I'm waiting for the parts to arrive. Also, my brakes are grabby (always have been). Would the underlying issue be the regenerative brakes causing CV joints to fail?

I am currently waiting for Ford to replace my cv for the third time currently at 37k miles. I had the software update that fixed the grabby brakes a while ago so I don’t think the two issues are related. Getting pretty sick of taking the Mav in though. If I didn’t need the MPG and really want a truck I would be selling. I figure I have the extended Ford ESP so I may as well keep it. My service center has been great with providing rental cars and they are only about 10 minutes from where I live.

Just took my wife's 2022 maverick xlt hybrid in to dealer for vibration upon acceleration issues. Originally thought tires might be bad or unbalanced, so we decided to replace. New tires really brought problem to the surface (vibration was worse) and this forum along with others helped us not waste to much time with troubleshooting this. Hope dealer is on same page most of internet is on with this problem.

06/05/24 Update: So, when I took the Maverick in for this problem, I was able to reproduce the vibration pretty consistently, so I was able to get the shop foreman to do a ride along with me. Not sure if this helps, but it gave me piece of mind knowing that I provided the proof of the problem. They just called and stated that the truck would be ready for pickup and that they duplicated the problem, found issue, and replaced both the left and right cv half shafts. I haven't picked it up, but ill be interested to see what part numbers they used and if it rides smooth again like our 2023 maverick we also own. nice to have two mavericks so you can compare when problems like this occur.
