I'm picking up my Maverick this morning. After a week at the shop, new outlet plugs, and a new inverter, the issue hasn't been resolved. I am going to try a different dealership and see if a fresh pair of eyes can solve the problem.
The dealership reached out this morning and said they are focusing their attention on the inverter now as the potential issue. They said they will reach out by close of business today to let me know if they need to order a new one or not and when I can come pick up the truck in the meantime...
Yea, yea... I made sure the vehicle was on and running when testing lol. The only thing we really plan to use the outlets for is to charge my child's devices during the road trips, but can't do that till they figure out the issue.
A few folks on Facebook have told me that it sounds like my inverter might be bad if it's not a blown fuse or loose connection. I will mention this suggestion to my service department on Monday.
It was the first thing the dealership told me they checked, before they swapped out the outlets themselves. All they told me was that the light next to the outlet in the back center console should be illuminated while the truck is running to show that it is active but it is not.
I guess...
2022 Maverick Ecoboost XLT with 32k miles right now. My truck has been at the dealership for 2 days, going on 3 now while they try to figure out why there is no juice in either outlet. They swapped out the plugs with new ones but that didn't solve the issue and the dealership can't seem to...
And finally... Got my MPG update for exclusive use of Sports mode for the entire tank of gas. Honestly, based on MY results, I think I'll just stick with normal mode. Can't be bothered to remember to push the mode button every single time i drive the truck lol.
This was fun!
I am certainly not getting 35 mpg in my Eco.. but I have been running exclusively Sports mode in my Mav (stock everything) and am currently averaging 23-24 mpg with city/highway mix. I truly do wonder if OP's mods affect gas mileage THAT much.
Just hold strong until August, place an order for the hybrid engine, then wait another year for it to arrive and trade in your shitty gas mileage Mav.
Add all the mods to the hybrid that you added to your ecoboost and you'll probably end up around 30 - 33 mpg like you're hoping for!
Good luck!
If I was buying Lariat priced vehicles, and didn't need the truck bed but still wanted a hybrid, I'd just get a Ford Escape AWD with hybrid engine. They already exist and they will obviously drive just like the Maverick does... But without the truck bed.
That probably makes sense. My auto AC thing is always set to 72. Auto fan speed set to the middle (2) lights. Maybe that's why? Thanks for the info! Glad it's not broken 😅
My own tailgate cables aren't identical either. The driver's side cable is a touch longer than the passenger's side. However, this isn't a defect I care much to complain about to my dealership. I know it's there, but not worth the headache trying to get my dealership to make it a priority to...
Is this feature supposed to work for as long as I hold down the brake? Or is it timed? Because I've noticed lately in my evening commutes in heavy stop and go traffic that while I'm at a light and the auto stop is engaged and my foot is fully pressing the brake pedal, that the vehicle will...
I enjoy driving my Ecoboost because it's much quicker than my previous vehicle. It's also been fun having a truck bed i can throw bags and boxes into without having to cram my backseats with stuff.
