Battery Draw with 110volt

Is it amps, or watts? Theres a BIG difference.

The Igloo ICF 18 I have draws 45 WATTS, well within the Mavericks' 300-watt inverter capability.

It has to be watts, 110v circuits above 20 amp are extremely rare, and I've never seen a 45-60 amp 110v circuit. Once you get to power draw that high (4.95-6.6kW) you are getting into 240v or even 480v territory.

Either that or OP is truing to move a chest freezer bigger then his MAV. I need to see this red green show tier disaster being towed across the border!

Had to look it up myself as I would have thought otherwise but it looks like bringing in up to 50lbs of chilled/frozen beef is allowed from Canada to the USA. Just needs to be declared when crossing or there is fines.

I am driving 22 hours from south Alberta to Arizona next month, i have an abundance of frozen beef, i want to use a portable 110v freezer to take meat with me to AZ , the unit i am looking at draws 25 amp watts average and 45-60peak ! can my Mav handle this draw ?

I never found a load that the 400w inverter actually would power. Either the device would not power up, or the inverter would go into self-protection mode. I never tested the AC brick for my 2 compressor fridges, but maybe?

Better to hook to 12V, if your freezer has that option.

And no battery drain, the outlet shuts off with the truck.

BTW, I am going to break out the cane if anyone uses 110v again, that isn't used anywhere in North America. (we use 120v)

Like I mentioned above, my Igloo ICF 18 draws 45 watts on the 120V AC inverter, so no problems running it. One thing about the Igloo unit is that the AC converter is built-in to the unit, no separate DC to AC block to deal with.

I power my RV travel Trailer from the Maverick. 400w is enough for most things excluding air conditioning.
OR serious corded tools. But it can recharge multiple battery tools simultaneously.

One of those things that never lit up for me. Bauer, Hercules, Craftsman, Dewalt, all of them didn't even register that they were plugged in. The LED on the outlet was solid the whole time, but nothing.

To clarify I did have an incandescent bulb handy to test that it really did work, and wasn't just broken.

Remember if your truck has both 120v plugs (console&bed) they share the same 400 watt output of the MODIFIED SINE WAVE inverter. And the devices cannot draw more than 400 watts Including the startup surge along with running on modified sine wave.
