2340 miles on 25 lariat hybrid. Went out this am dead as a door nail. Meter on battery showed 3.4 v. Truck ran about a week ago. Jumped off ok and ran 1.4hr. On trip. Checked voltage now up to 11.4v. 4 hr later checked voltage, showed 12.4v. What caused voltage to jump up without being cranked for 4 hrs? Drove home, another 1.4 hrs. Voltage now at 12.55. What would run it down so far? Terminals good and tight.

An intermittent battery drain would cause that.

But it appears it didn't ruin the battery at least. Thank goodness for newer AGM.
This 1 time it occurred.

Nice good long drive.

I knew the charging system could put out enough Amps to recovery a low battery.
If the drive is long enough.

Asking a lot to think back over a week - but are you in habit of leaving HVAC wherever it was last used, and just shutting truck off?
Or turning system off before truck off?

Do you use Auto mode, or maybe had defrost on?
What was mfg date of truck, on door pillar sticker?
