Yes for the small amount of money that the package costs it is worth it for what is included even if you never tow or don't tow very often.

If you have never towed anything and will never tow anything, then the only benefit to getting it is for the potential resale value.

I rarely tow but I upgraded my order to include the 4k Tow package just to ensure I don't damage the transmission on the rare times that I do tow. I personally still feel it was worth it for me, but the only person that can truly answer that for you...is you.

If you are asking me to make the decision for you, I say yes, upgrade to 4K tow package.

Either way, welcome to the Maverick Truck Club and future Maverick ownership!

For what you get it's well worth the investment. It also broadens the demand in resale, for those needing the tow capabilities. Also note look at so many posts that life changed and caused the need for tow. Seeing they did not have it caused them to replace the vehicle they recently purchased. For me it's a no brainier I need to be able to tow 4k. The extra cooling with the , Transmission oil cooler, high capacity radiator (2.0 engine), upgraded cooling fan is a good investment toward longevity.

You never know. Things might change and you will need to tow. That's what happened to me. I never thought I would need to tow. Now we are looking into getting a travel trailer around 3,000lbs. I currently have a 25 on order with AWD and tow package. I will be trading in my 22. Get the tow package. The AWD with tow package only loses 2mpg compared to the fwd versions.

"Just ordered a 2025 lariat 10/04" - That sounds like you're done with your order. What am I missing here?

Definitely add, IMHO. It’s the only regret I have for my ā€˜24 lariat hybrid. Don’t recall why I didn’t add it when I ordered.

Briefly considered ordering a 25 to replace my 24, just for that.

I'd get the tow package, very good deal for all you are getting. You might tow someday or good for resale.
I have a 2022 Ecoboost XLT AWD with towing package and average at least 28 mpg combined. If on hwy at least 31 mpg. If I go on long hwy trip i get at least 33 mpg.

Doesn't the tow package also give you the 3.81 axle ratio instead of the stock 3.63? Or is that change not included on the 2025?
it's the same.

purely speculating, but I doubt it matters much for the hybrid since it has a e-cvt and doesn't have to be concerned about the gear ratios in the ecoboost's 1st & 3rd gear.

One of the biggest factors influencing resale value is price inflation. A 2025 costs $3K-$7K more than an similar 2022 when it was purchased new. So someone selling their 2022 for what they paid for gives the illusion of holding resale value when an equivalent replacement vehicle will cost much more to purchase. A good post on the Maverick price increases: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/maverick-price-progression.55587/
If Ford continues driving up the new price, resale values will follow. I doubt that's what anyone wants.

those days are long gone other than '22 hybrids, and it's more likely to get a higher % of msrp in value now with XL, then less likely on XLT and even less with lariat.

it's not an illusion that the Maverick holds value better than other trucks. historically a vehicle purchased for $25,000 would depreciate 10% immediately off the lot and then another 15-20% the first year, and then another 10-20% each additional year, compounding of course and not off original cost. total after 3 years typically 35-50% reduction in value depending on mileage and condition.

there are no 2022 Mavericks with average miles and average condition worth only 50% of original msrp. many are worth 75-90% original cost.

Correct me if I am wrong.....MY 2024 HYBRID didn't have the 4K tow package. Only the 2024 AWD 2.0L did.

I purchased the tow package just for the upgraded / higher capacity Radiator, the larger cooling fan and the Transmission oil cooler (the reg non 4K tow does not have a trans cooler)

I drive 80 miles per day almost all interstate. I wanted to have better cooling. I don't baby the mav a bit. I picked up my Oder in May 2024 and shes already got 13500 on the clock. No regrets at all.
