I changed oil first at a little over 1,000 miles in case there were any metal in it from being new. After that every 5,000 miles. Oil changes inexpensive insurance to prolong engine life. I am still using synthetic blend as recommended but plan on going with full synthetic soon. Any suggestions...
It depends on different conditions. During the warm weather sometimes I fill up & days about 500 to empty. During Winter when I idle more or run engine waiting for picking up people, it will go way down. I based it on time running.
I had Bullit Liner in Green Bay, WI do my SPBL & They took care of all that & did an excellent job. I also had them do my rustproofing and undercoating.
Tough break, usually this time of year deer don't just dart out like that. Glad you're ok & not more damage, but awful expensive to fix. Great video & your reaction.
Seems to me all the problems are with the hybrids. My Ecoboost XLT AWD with towing package is the best MPG truck I ever had. If I am in cruise on long hwy trips I get 33 MPG, 28 MPG Average, have power, towing, AWD etc. A real truck. 250 HP. 277 Torque & Fast. Most hybrid owners are 1st. Time...
Yes I manually turned on parking lights as my LED headlights are always on. But if you don't turn parking lights off, they stay on. I know I can override auto headlights but don't really want to. If I override auto headlights, what happens?
There's a switch on the dash that turns cargo light on. p. s. Anyone know if I turn on parking lights instead of auto lights, how to have them turn off when turning off engine? Otherwise I have to remember to turn them off manually.
Do a lot of different driving, city, hwy, different speeds. Don't drive hard the first 1,000 miles but don't baby it either. Don't use cruise until after 1,000 miles & no towing, then change oil to be sure no metal particles in oil. Small price to break in new engine & transmission.
