It depends on what year. You are correct for a 2026. The issue now is more severe for many flats especially if sidewall may not be able to use the mobility kit? I did a search depending on the year a doughnut so I inserted 2026.
Tire Inflator and Sealant Kit: This is now the default equipment...
You obviously do or have not used a truck as a truck. Try one of those doughnuts with 1300 to 1500lbs in the bed. Or towing 4k pounds especially if it a rear tire. Another is in heavy snow it throws the dynamics off. I do agree on getting that tire back on as soon as possible but life doesn't...
Do you have a crystal ball and can see into the future. You asked the forum for what you missed and could use. There are several posts add the 4k tow package either for resale or the extra equipment and cooling. Please search many ask how to increase towing years later as their lifestyle has...
Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. Hope you continue to enjoy your truck and your decision. Keep in mind the basement construction maybe done, but you now have a truck if life throws you another project. Besides if you are like myself and others on and off this site...
Congratulations to you both. Once she takes delivery start another thread with pictures of both your's and hers side by side. I think it will make a cool picture and a nice story to boot. I wouldn't get to jealous in the summer that fake leather seat will be hot and it doesn't breathe, she may...
Yeah but look at the difference when the airplane came along or the microwave. Just because you are use to something doesn't mean you should continue. I understand everyone has different needs but unfortunately these change throughout ones lifespan.
Two things that I highly suggest...
Winter 27 to 29, if it's 50 degrees or more I get 31 to 33. Mostly 2 land highway 36 round trip to town. So very little freeway and a little city once I get into town. Freeway I get hit hard over 70mph optional ratio with a 24 FX4. Pulling a heavy or wind blocking trailer it takes a hit it...
Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. X2 how about attaching some pictures. Sounds like you are already enjoying your new truck.
I believe the RDU is also the reason. In this type of RDU in other Ford vehicles which offerring trans and extra cooling will not offer the extra towing capacity. Given this information it's not just the lack of extra cooling. Hopefully they can work or beef up the RDU to handle the extra weight...
That's one reason they didn't offer the 4k tow package on the hybrid. It needed AWD but was not available tell 2025 in the hybrid also a beefed up ECTV.
Your truck 2022 FWD max towing is 2000lbs. Still a weak link especially on hills and especially on algae covered boat ramps. Yes the mirrors...
Similar coming except half tons, F150 no mountains but out back and mud n snow. I love my Maverick as well, what's not to love. Just would have went the Tremor except the 2000lb tow rating killed that option for me.
Thanks for posting, I totally agree. Just wished Ford could increase it to 5K and a huge disappointment is the tremor max 2k. I would have liked the option of lockers but couldn't deal with just 2k towing. Ford should work to get the tremor equal towing options available.
Besides the obvious...
Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. Nothing wrong in working toward ones goal. It also makes you appreciate it that much more. Enjoy your new truck.
