I fluctuate between 19.9 - 21.6 average mpg (city/hwy) as my daily, and I always carry a hefty weight on my bed with bigger tires and a 2" lift. Just hit 4K+ miles. Still loving it. Specially when out camping or overlanding. 😊🤙🏾

2022 2.0 eco boost AWD has 10100 miles on odometer. I bought 18 days ago used and this was first trip. Terrain was 50 %flat and 50% hills. 90% highway with cruise control set at 65. Other 10% was city with lots of stop and go used normal mode as I tried eco mode for about 25 miles and seemed to lose mpg. That pic was taken right after fill up before resetting trip computer. Probably 90% highway cruise control 65mph. Took 14.7 gallons for 499.5 miles. Comes to 34mpg.

I’ve taken 2 trips since purchase of a used lariat AWD. I drive using cruise control and keep it to 65mph. Both trips were about 5-10% city. Actual mileage was very close to computer. 500 mile trip used 14.7 gallons which 34mpg. 218 mile trip used 6 gallons which comes to 36.3mpg. Going on another 300-400 mile trip tomorrow so I’ll see how it does.

Crap, my 2002 expedition still gets 17 mph in the city. That’s horrible for the 2.0.
I call B.S. on 17 MPG

Question is how many of you are using your remote start you lose a lot of gas mileage if you use it often. Plus colder weather lowers gas mileage as well. My 2001 Ranger 4.0 4x4 gets around 20mpg and the wife's 2015 Taurus 3.0 gets around 22mpg. So I am hoping for around 25 when I get my Maverick.
Well since getting my Maverick I've been actually getting better than 25 mpg. I really tried watching my takeoffs and break early for stops plus using eco mode. I was finally able to hit 31 mpg 500+ miles on one tank city/highway, at the end of my run it was just starting to get cool out. It was getting so cold a couple weeks ago I thought hell might freeze over. I was down to 22 mpg. Which is still better than my Ranger got in the summer. LoL, I guess remote start really does take a lot of gas plus the cold.

Celebrated too soon. Back in NJ with the winter grade gas- 87 octane. Filled up before a trip, and non-highway mileage was 17.3 mpg on the meter, hand calculation was 15.6 mpg.
Filled up for approx 310 round trip 99% highway from NJ to CT, with no traffic. Meter MPG averaged a crappy 22 mpg, which by hand is expected to be lower. Driving was not aggressive, had car set to economy mode, averaged about 70 mph.
I found the eco mode got a little less mpg than the normal mode so I don’t use eco.

I would expect the future calculation of remaining range to be an estimate of some period up to that point. Either since the last fill-up, or over the last X number of miles (50, 100 maybe?). It has to incorporate the recent MPG otherwise it would be a random estimate based on a predetermined number and never change. Otherwise, for my current tank saying 185miles to go because it has been freezing and I'm at 23mpg on the gauge would be the same regardless of driving history. But I know when I was getting 28mpg+ in warmer weather that it would have shown 225-250mpg remaining at the same point.
Don’t know how it figures that miles to empty as I’ve used the mpg of last tank times 16.5 and it doesn’t come out to what computer says. Using my last full tank as an example. Picture of dash shows 34.4mpg so with a 16.5 gallon tank it would equal out to 567.6 miles not 619.

I have a XLT with 2.0 EB, AWD and 4k towing. I drove from Riverside, CA to Carlsbad, CA (approx 81 miles, some of the route along the coastal on 5 freeway). My truck was carrying solid-wood coffee tables and end tables (heavy). I got 36 mpg.

Returning home from Carlsbad, I got 31 mpg because of steep freeways (toll freeway 241/261). Not bad. It is much better than what I have: 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L six cylinder engine (normally around 21 highway mpg).

OP I do not know what they have in your area? But In my area we have something called Emissions Test. If you can, get an emissions test done on you truck . If it fails I am sure Ford will respond very quickly .

So far I’ve checked the mpg of my 2022 AWD Maverick 4 times. I stick to 65mph on interstate and posted speed limit elsewhere and use cruise control extensively. 499.5 miles/ 34mpg, 218miles/36.6, 439 miles/35.2mpg and short trip of 90 miles/37.1mpg

I have been driving for over 1 year now with my 2.0 EB with AWD. City driving in the winter (using winter fuel blend gas), I will get 18-19 mpg. In the summer with the summer blend gas, I average 22-23 mpg. For highway trips, I will get 26-28 mpg driving 75 mph in the winter. For the summer, I will average 29-31 mpg with the summer blend gas. I use 87 octane gas, top tier. When I start towing this Spring, I will switch to 91 octane gas.

19.7 MPG avg with A/C on most days.
Mostly city driving (running errands) and occasionally a few miles up/down the interstate. This is in Florida so level ground. Also includes idling for 15 minutes a few times a week while eating. I drive pretty light footed but occasionally ill let it eat.

20 MPG avg with A/C off some due to cooler winter days.

Still see great MPG on the highway - but im not on it enough to make a big impact.
