So one dealer has told me plainly that even though they honor x-plan pricing they can't show me the x-plan pricing sheet until the vehicle is invoiced and they get a VIN. Does this make any sense? that is a long ways away. Is this just an outright lie?
I've used X-plan before, I used to get it from a company I worked for. In my case, it was for a vehicle already on the lot, but I had been able to log into an X-plan-specific build-and-price site and configure exactly the car I was ordering to get an idea of the price. It's based on a simple formula, don't remember exactly what it was but I'm sure you can find it.

The reason a dealer would be saying this is (my understanding) there is supposed to be a vehicle on the lot before he gives you the official X Plan printout which calculates the exact price. In my case (again, years ago), that number ended up being slightly lower than I had calculated on the build and price site.

If you are worried the dealer is not being straight with you, have him print out an order confirmation, write "to be sold to customer at X Plan price once received", and you both sign. Pretty sure that would be upheld as a formal contract, or at least give the dealer enough incentive not to sell the truck out from under you - as has happed to a few unfortunate souls I've seen posting on here.

I just noticed on the printout of the "preview order" from the dealer, it's showing $0 for the Cyber Orange paint option on my Lariat Hybrid. I suspect that's an error in the system, but maybe Ford is including CO as a "no charge" color now. Pretty cool, if true. (Not holding my breath, though...)

I just wanted to provide an update for those that may be interested. I work at a dealership and the Tremor body code is available for selection, as has been mentioned and it subsequently opens up the Tremor options. However the order still can't be pushed as of 4:00PM CST. The ordering system kicks it back with an error that the body code isn't valid.

Yeah, it doesn't indicate material on XLT. Good question.
Since Black Package is the same price for Lariat and XLT I am pretty sure they are providing cloth in the XLT and the Vinyl with the Lariat

I went to my dealer this afternoon to get the order placed. Complete waste of time.
The GM showed me that he could not roll it over until he received a copy/twin order from my old 22 order. Not sure if he is full of it. That doesn't exactly jive with what everyone else said.
I also never received a private offer email from ford. The inconsistency here is crazy.

Anyone have a hard time adding keyless pad or the hinge lock on XL order. Sales guy couldn’t see it on his options list to add and said it might simply have to be ordered as install accessories separate from vehicle.

Looks like XLT is still your best deal. XL went up $2k , and has cruise and "no charge" ecoboost. EcoBoost was a $2k option on the XL last year making it $22,000 so that's not really free. It's just a numbers shuffle. I'm glad I'm still not waiting for a 2023, but I bet playing the option sheets right one can still get a great deal on a nice loaded truck.

According to the brochure pic, it looks like the XL has the orange accents, and the light grey on the dash and door panels. Being it's an early production brochure that pic could be a mistake. I know a lot of people dont like the orange accents. I have not gotten my truck yet, and am on the fence about it. I will live with it for awhile and decide if I want to keep it or ditch it.

XL hybrid base price is up $1,200 to $22,195 from the July base price of $20,995 (not including $1,495 destination charge).

I ordered a XL hybrid yesterday. You are right about Eco-Boost, those who prefer it make out like bandits.

I too saw the orange trim stock photo. I am hoping it is an error. Nothing wrong with the orange trim if you like it, but I hate it. It’s the reason I went with the XL over XLT. Plus I don’t like the high contrast 50 – 50 split color door panels of the XLT.

I also like the extra 12v power point in the back seat of the XL [edit: XT to XL], which is upgraded to USB in the XLT. I use the 12v power points for dash cams and a tire inflator and the back seat one will be very convenient for me.

I have a question about the cost of different paint colors. Looking at the '22 Mav build and price tool, three paint colors had an up-charge. The two tinted clearcoats (Alto and Hot Pepper Red) were an additional $390, and the tri-coat (Cyber Orange) was an additional $495.

Looking at the pricing guide at in the first post of this thread I only see one color upcharge, the Hot Pepper Red for $495. Does anyone know how much any of the other paint colors cost for the '23MY? Is the assumption that the new (for Mavs) Atlas Blue Metallic paint doesn't have an upcharge because it doesn't have any additional coats (or at least isn't described as having additional coats).

I'll probably find out for sure when I meet with my dealer tomorrow morning, but I'd rather walk into my meeting with the dealer knowing as much as I can beforehand.
In the Package Guide and Order Guide Alto Blue and Cyber Orange are denoted as being extra cost alongside HPR so presumably they're $495 as well.
My order that I placed yesterday shows a $0 charge for Alto Blue which I was surprised by.

Still waiting for the 2022 XLT LUX they supposedly shipped 2 weeks ago, I'm wondering how much of the Luxury package didn't get installed?

So if I have an email from Ford that says my order is confirmed that's about as far as I can get for now, correct? The dealer neglected to ask me for a deposit which is strange but honestly I don't even get why they care. If I flake out they get a maverick they can sell at a big markup.

I saw the same thing on my order, but I'm pretty sure it ended up getting rolled into the trim level price. The trim looked higher than the pricing guide posted here.

Interesting, that isn't the case for mine.
