  1. Huge Insurance increase

True. But I would think that EcoBoost rates are also rising, especially for drivers that have a recently totaled vehicle.
  2. Huge Insurance increase

There have been zero or close to zero battery fires for the Maverick hybrid. Just a guess but I think it has more to do with the boron steel crumple zone that results in totaled Mavericks for even a minor rear end crash. There have been plenty of those.

  4. Getting rid of SiriusXM

The problem with that is in order to log into the account, he would have to accept the Sirius terms of service. Which no doubt includes personal info and gives them the right to market to to OP. I’ve run into a similar situation with my Ford account. Over a year ago, when logging in to my Ford...
  5. Ford Protect Plan Price Increase Coming April 2026 – Lock In Your Plan with Granger Now

Money makes sense, but it also seems like they could have just raised the price. It was a nice option for low mileage drivers like myself. I got a 10 year 36,000 mile zero deductible from Grainger for my 2023 Maverick for $735. I recently bought a new Mazda and Mazda’s factory warranty...
  6. Ford Protect Plan Price Increase Coming April 2026 – Lock In Your Plan with Granger Now

I’m curious, why did Grainger stop selling the 10 year 36,000 and 48,000 mile warranties?

  8. Updated Forscan and now not working

I’m out of ideas. Good luck.
  9. Updated Forscan and now not working

No I don’t. I don’t have a lot of experience with Forscan. I’ve only used it to make two changes. Up the state of charge to 90%, and turn off the horn when the panic button is pressed. If your truck starts and runs normally, I guess worst case is you’ll have to live with the blank circles. Or...

  14. Auto-Dimming Side Mirrors

It’s a drug called ā€œKnowledge of how to properly adjust side mirrors.ā€ Quite unfortunate. One hit and it’s a lifetime addiction.
  15. Traded my 2000 Ranger for a brand new 2025 Maverick

Nice review and I hope you enjoy your Maverick. There is probably a setting in navigation that will keep the spinning map pointed North. Your Maverick is unibody. The huge hitch makes it more likely to be totaled in a rear end accident.
  16. No GPS without Telematics?

You could try Open Street Map. Inferior to Google Maps but better privacy. Assuming you’re on Android, best installed by side load on F-Droid. But it is on Google Play.
  17. 1st Battery Saver Mode since AGM Install

I’m not the person you asked, but I have a 2023 Maverick Hybrid XL and last week I used Forescan for the first time. My ā€˜23 came with a regular flooded battery. Nine months ago I put in an AGM. When setting the state of charge from 80 to 95%, I noticed that it was already factory set to AGM.
  18. Confirmed - Battery Saver mode doesn't look at the battery health!!! Time to complain

Ford has only been making cars for 122 years. You can’t expect them to have it down pat yet.
  19. Confirmed - Battery Saver mode doesn't look at the battery health!!! Time to complain

Yes OP will still have this problem. I have never installed the app. Never paired any phone with my Maverick. Never even connected any phone to my Maverick. I still get the same no dome lights past the 4th day of no activity, no matter the state of the battery.
