Some subtle version of the billet grille I had for many years on this truck's predecessor - at least to fill in the large gaps - would be a welcome improvement.
Gorrilla tape it is. I'll replace the plastic bit myself if I can get one - but not until I have a reason to de-trim the bumper.
(go figure that a bumper to bumper warranty doesn't actually cover a shattered bumper trim with no other signs of impact --- but agree that road debris is most...
2023 Hybrid, 5300 miles. When I went out to my truck this morning I noticed middle part of the inner bumper trim (by the active grill shutters) has shattered. I have never taken the truck off pavement (yet), and have never had any sort of frontal impact or road hazard incident in this vehicle...
That's right, I live in Northern Virginia, and commute daily almost to Baltimore. I didn't plan it this way, but had a recent job opportunity I couldn't turn down, so I am now the proud owner of an 82-mile round trip daily commute. I negotiated to only have to make the drive 3 times a week, but...
The short bed will take some getting used to, but I found the half-folded tailgate option gives me a useful workaround. Took a bundle of 10' drip edge home the first day I had the truck - was easy. A tradeoff I'm willing to make for a city commuter that does "truck things" on weekends.
Should they remove all the trim in the bed? little silver tie-down hooks in the corner, the power inverter panel, the cubby, etc.? I haven't even had it long enough to know that there ARE threaded holes in the bed. I guess that would be where other cargo management accessories could be bolted...
And here is what the Maverick replaced, in spirit at least. My 1992 Ford Ranger, sold February of 2020 just before the pandemic got real. Bought a 2019 VW Atlas that fall, but that couldn't quite fill the shoes of the simple old Ranger. Well, as soon as I found out about the Maverick, I ordered...
Ordered 10/8/2021, delivered to Granger Ford 2/8/23, shipped to NoVA and finally in my hands on 3/10/2023.
My shipping was delayed a bit due to needing to find a shipping window that worked around pre-existing travel plans. 17 months from order date to my driveway, and based on my first...
I know you won't go this far (based on you saying KC is the farthest you'd go) but you I bet you would clean up on orders if you ever came to DC / Northern VA. So many cars here getting PPF and wraps but the labor costs are through the roof. Makes it pretty prohibitive to get work done on a...
Perfect, I prefer the bears to eat me feet first.
What are the side straps clipped to? Fender and wheel?
Since I don't have my Mav yet (theoretical 12/19 build week) - do you find the suspension settles much at all when loaded with two adults in the bed?
I wonder how well it would hold up for...
Our trucks could be build date twins.
Area 51 XLT Lux with Copilot 360, remote start, power moonroof, and a block heater.
Ordered with Granger Ford 10/8/21, then again on 9/19/22. Looks like truck will get its first shakedown with a winter road trip.
Got the confirmation email from Ford at 7:22 PM, about 2 hours after my final clarifications on what needs to be on the order. Still waiting on them to confirm that I am eligible for the $2,750 because "only financing can know that and only when we are finalizing the purchase." ... (right...)
I...
I've used X-plan before, I used to get it from a company I worked for. In my case, it was for a vehicle already on the lot, but I had been able to log into an X-plan-specific build-and-price site and configure exactly the car I was ordering to get an idea of the price. It's based on a simple...
Based on a Fiat Toro? It looks like it is EXACTLY a Fiat Toro, only very lightly badge engineered. We rented one in Brazil a while ago, it's basically a Cherokee with a bed. Obviously this article is an update for Latin America, but I have been wondering since I first heard of the Maverick if...
