I have solved my battery drain issue by going to the Ford Pass App on the Touchscreen and turning off connectivity . I turned off automatic updates , Wi-Fi and toggled off insurance data . I deleted my ford app on my phone . Now it’s not searching for my Wi-Fi signal parked in my garage . It’s not gathering info for my insurance company to use against me in court if I have an accident . It’s not refreshing to find a nearby ford dealer or my location if I want to navigate somewhere . I don’t need the fordpass app to tell my tire pressure or any other info , because all I have to do is look at the dash settings for that . All these things were draining my battery when the truck was off . Also no clicking noises now when it’s off . Try it if you are having the issue . Of course it could be a defective battery or the module that controls connectivity in the truck to the app . Ford may not have not told anyone this because they want to keep you connected to the app which is not necessary .
Interesting approach and makes a lot of sense. On my end the problem disappeared when dealer replaced thew 12V battery with a third party make. The old one was some sort of a new special design that could not hold the charge for long. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...g-12v-battery-drain-issues.31614/#post-767425

I have a pair of Faraday cage pouches to shield the keyfobs: $7 on Amazon, free shipping (as a Prime member)... and I turned off automatic updates, but I do use FordPass to remote start on a regular schedule so I'm keeping it...plus I don't want to lose my points (and all the free oil changes I'm getting with them). There's no insurance link enabled on my FordPass app.

I can’t find where to disable all that stuff in the app, can someone please point me to it?
Go to your radio and touch

Go to your radio in the truck . Touch settings , Ford Pass Connect , Connectivity Settings , toggle off . Swipe to WiFi , turn off . Swipe to Automatic System Updates . Delete your forepaws app on your phone . That’s what I did .

Yes, the clicking is normal for Hybrids. I own a 2013 and 2015 Chevy Volt and a 2023 Hybrid Maverick. The Volt runs pumps and various other things regularly even while plugged in and charging. Primarily it runs coolant pumps to heat/cool the battery based on temp and the Maverick does as well. Most all current model EV's/Hybrids do this especially if they have liquid cooling. The battery needs to maintain a specific temperature to function. It can't be too hot, and can't be too cold or it will damage the battery. Could they have used solid state relays instead? Probably, but they didn't. Even walking by the Maverick with a key in hand can wake up the vehicle as it assumes it may be driven soon. While it may be annoying to some, it is quite normal and is doing it's job.

Thanks for pointing out that the clicking is a normal part of the Maverick hybrid. I’ve been reading the posts on this MTC i think for tw

Until you replace Ford's OEM battery with a AGM non-Ford battery with a greater capacity, you will most likely haves issues with your battery in the future. Many other treads discuss this at great lengths...
Yep. After three Ford Motorcraft batteries were replaced by the dealer, I gave up and bought a Diehard last year. No problems since.

I had the problem after about 2 years. My dealer in Orlando, Greenway Ford, replaced it with a Diehard. No problems since.

I deleted the Ford Pass app last July, was having those alerts about the battery and haven't had any issues other than the radio works when it wants to, everything that has a warning came on once a month ago and the truck had no acceleration, at 0800 in the morning I wasn't about to drive anywhere without any ability to merge into traffic safely. First Turd hybrid, it's a digression after owning 4 Prius vehicles. Wifey is loving her Camry Hybrid, has none of the stupidity that the Maverick has been doing.

My 2 cents:
My 2022 Toyota Sienna hybrid does not click, at all, until the fob is close by....no nutting.
It also sits idle for weeks at a time...no issues.
It is not connected via wifi to anything, it runs no apps.
It is not know to stop running while driving.
It can't carry mulch, dirt, or rocks.
It is rock solid reliable....and a hybrid.

As I have posted on this forum before, I kept my 2017 RAV4 when I bought the Maverick. The two posts above this one just back up my decision to keep the Toyota.
The maverick is new and fun and gets comments. When, toy if, it turns into a turd shaped like a blue oval, it will be gone. Probably replaced by another Toyota. The fun will be in picking which model and then loading it up.

Forgive me if this has already been said, I think I figured this out. I haven't had cab lights in the truck for several months, tried the battery reset with little benefit. And the radio would shut off abruptly a couple seconds after stopping the truck. A couple weeks ago I charged the battery for a day and a half then immediately did the reset, since then I have cabin lights and the radio will stay on for 10 mins or until I open the door.
Yep, I have resigned myself to a weekly charge regimen. It’s a mustang thing!

I alerted the original poster to the issue once. Every subsequent instance is a quote from their own message. Your response gives me the impression that you believe I posted multiple times for amusement.

So, turning off FordPass and communications didn't solve your problems after all?
