Have a 2024 maverick hybrid.after a couple months I noticed I couldnt access the for app as it was in deep sleep mode If the truck had sat for a day. it to dealer they said bad battery, replaced battery, still have the issue.havent seen any recall on it,what gives
That is because the dealer replace the orginal battery with the same under capacity flooded lead acid battery. Replace it with a cheap Amazon AGM battery to solve the issue. Mine has been good since replacing the OEM with this battery. Well worth the 125.00 not to have to worry about it.

I’ve had my ā€˜24 Mav hybrid for about a year now. I’ve posted some complaints about the ā€œremote services disabledā€ battery notifications that came regularly. (I’m retired so I don’t drive every day.)
In April I went away for 6 days leaving a battery tender on the Mav battery. I returned, removed the tender and drove as usual. I haven’t received a low battery notification for 14 days.
I don’t know what changed.
The battery got fully charged, but you know that changed.

And you likely got a night of it sitting locked so it could do the BMS relearn after that charge up.
So now it can attempt to keep it charged up when you drive.
But it will fail to eventually, it'll slowly degrade.

I have an appointment on Wednesday.

The battery completely died on me on Friday. Had to call roadside assistance. His meter said 8.1 on the battery. Drove home 40 minutes, turned it off and it would not start again. Had to jump it every time with a battery charger.

Fortunately my girlfriend’s dad had a 2023 Maverick that he swapped his battery out for an AGM. He grabbed the non AGM battery and it was reading 12.4 after sitting in the garage for almost a year. I’ve had no issues since putting the old battery in.

I think it’s just a bad battery straight from the factory. Maybe a bad cell. It just won’t hold a charge. Hoping they just replace it on Wednesday. I’ll update.
Likely a bad battery - get the warranty replacement.
While it's still likely a cheap battery, at least it's an AGM.
It'll still be undercharged likely and eventually have an issue.
But should take longer.

Here’s the one I got but it’s gone up about 50 bucks since I bought it got it on Amazon installation is pretty easy but you’ll need an extension to get the nut out if there’s a clamp that holds it in place and there’s also a drain tube hole you just have to route, but it was about 10 minutes. Make sure to follow the battery. Reset instructions in your manual after that.
Question on the drain tube, is it really needed? Are the maintenance-free AGM batteries sealed? I don't like that they are in the interior and want to be sure it is needed or not.

Update on my 2024 Maverick

After the deep sleep episodes in April, I have not had any more. Truck has been doing fine. The dealer and I agree that testing it now would not be helpful. We are waiting for the next deep sleep episode to run the tests.

Sealed batteries have a pressure relief built in incase overcharged.
Vent tube gets it outside if that happens.
Understand how your replacement battery does it - and use it.

Overcharged ..... Maverick ..... I crack myself up!

Prolly not a big deal skipping it. I guess I was told AGM batteries can release some gas but probably no gel or liquid it’s fairly easy just to replace it since the one you were removing will already have one

Any update on your deep sleep issues? What did the dealer say? I was so hoping this issue was fixed on the 2025's as I'm in the market for one.
So the battery was bad and they replaced it. They also replaced the battery current sensor module. Hopefully no more issues.

Update

More frequent deep sleep episode starting on May 22. Dropped it off at the dealer this morning. They preformed the ACCM update (SSM 53801) and I just picked up the truck. Seems to be working fine but only time will tell if this fix will work.

In the same boat, have a 22 and they just put another replacement battery in last week. Prior had it replaced Aug 2024. Goes into Deep Sleep the day after drives greater than 100 miles. Appears Ford has no fix. Frustrating to say the least

Searched for 2024 battery issues and landed here.

my 2024 hybrid is going to the Service dept this coming Monday.
This morning my Ford App notified me that my truck is in Battery Saving Mode to "please drive the vehicle to refresh status..." But I drove it yesterday and the day before. Anyway, I emailed the Service Department (I have his direct contact now since they dropped the ball when they did my back up camera recall two months ago) and he did some checks and he said my Mav history showed that the battery life dropped June 5, 11 and yesterday the 19th.

guess, we'll wait and see what the dealer says

Old news, same SSM, many threads on it.

Thanks for showing it's been updated to include the 2025MY.

Would be interesting to know what module they changed after Feb 17th that they stopped the intermittent drain overnight.
Since the most recent ssm involves reprogramming the ACCM (air condition control module), I assume that the newer vehicles already have the updated software. It seems as if the ACCM either wasn't fully going to sleep, or it was causing the SOBDMC)which is the module that energizes the compressor) to wake up periodically at times. After some hiccups I reprogrammed it on a customer's car two weeks ago. So far, so good.
