Today 10/8/25 I finally bit the bullet and took my 2024 hybrid to the dealer to perform the service update related to sleep with the 12 volt battery.

After dutifully performing the tests on the original 12 volt battery they determined it was a battery issue. But the real surprise was they replaced it with an AGM battery - BAGM H4. They also reset the BMS, battery monitoring sensor.

My reason for posting is I have followed this issue and it seemed to be hit or miss as to whether they would install a flooded lead acid or AGM replacement battery. Some people said they got the original and others, like me got the AGM.

For the most part, I think the replacement you get depends on whether or not the dealer has any of the FLA BXT's left in inventory. Just my guess.

The replacement might have to do with where you live, who knows. Mine was a larger CCA flooded. It could possibly be that AGMs are used in areas with more extreme temperatures ranges. There is one thing forsure from what I've read, there is no consistency to the fix. I believe engineering hasn't figured out how to fix the issue and keeps throwing batteries at it as they fail.

I think some dealerships may have made contact with Ford hotline and the hotline contact gave them permission. Other dealerships may just bite the bullet
