Have a 2024 maverick hybrid.after a couple months I noticed I couldnt access the for app as it was in deep sleep mode If the truck had sat for a day. it to dealer they said bad battery, replaced battery, still have the issue.havent seen any recall on it,what gives
Look over the paperwork for what they did on battery replace.

There are some specific manual instructions when a battery is replaced - they and you needed to do that. Should look it up.

It's not a recall because it's the ultimate safety - you can't start the vehicle if it really gets bad.
Can't start, then can't drive - no one gets hurt.

Not a safety issue? What if you have to stop on the side of a busy road to change a flat tire and get back in and car won't start. Definitely a safety issue.

Ya true. But that's probably why they are not being forced into a recall with it.

Unlike a battery that shorts on the EB and the auto-stop/start had you stopped in turn lane but now can't start. They were forced into that recall.

Purchased a 2025 XLT Hybrid in April. I have a build date of 1/16/25. I have been having the deep sleep message on Ford Pass for 4 days now. I have just over 1200 miles on it. It has an AGM battery. I'm going to call the service center tomorrow and see what they say.

I own a 23 and 25 hybrid lariat I replaced both of the batteries with AGM batteries for less than $150 each by myself. I Did the battery reset and haven’t had an issue since they clearly used an underpower battery in a hybrid that needs to call on the battery more than they figured you’ll solve all your problems by biting the bullet and tossing in some nice new batteries under your rear seat I waited over a year to do it on the first truck and I’m sad. I waited.
25 Lariat came with AGM…..

Totally agree that it is NOT only a software update or it would have been done by now. I get the suspicion Ford is deathly afraid of the massive damage a huge recall of ALL hybrid Mavericks will do to their sales and bottom line. This will be the crap hitting the fan when it is announced. But they don't have much choice. This problem can't just be ignored, despite their efforts to down play it by changing the verbiage in the app notification to call it a "battery protection feature" rather than a deep sleep problem notification. Hey, Ford: This is NOT a feature!
News of recalls to new vehicles/brands happen almost weekly. Hasn't seemed to have hurt sales. However, high prices & interest rates have.

25 Lariat came with AGM…..
I know that. I replaced it with a 25 percent biggerCCA AGM. In Arizona that battery will only last a year and a half so I bought two and put them both in and started the clock running and the next one will be free because it’ll burn out during the replacement. So I don’t consider it a hit. It’s just in Arizona thing they only last 18 to 24 months.

Do you have a link to the battery you bought? Did you have to modify anything for it to fit?

Here’s the one I got but it’s gone up about 50 bucks since I bought it got it on Amazon installation is pretty easy but you’ll need an extension to get the nut out if there’s a clamp that holds it in place and there’s also a drain tube hole you just have to route, but it was about 10 minutes. Make sure to follow the battery. Reset instructions in your manual after that.

Thanks. Depending on what the dealer says, I might just go with this option.

Motorcraft, Interstate and Delco batteries are made by the same Johnson Controls Group. All they do is slap on a different label.

Because it fairs better with the constant drain. The truck won't start with a dead 12v battery because it runs all necessary systems and accessories. You should be asking Ford that question not a buyer. Come on we aren't stupid.

I’ve had my ā€˜24 Mav hybrid for about a year now. I’ve posted some complaints about the ā€œremote services disabledā€ battery notifications that came regularly. (I’m retired so I don’t drive every day.)
In April I went away for 6 days leaving a battery tender on the Mav battery. I returned, removed the tender and drove as usual. I haven’t received a low battery notification for 14 days.
I don’t know what changed.

Any update on your deep sleep issues? What did the dealer say? I was so hoping this issue was fixed on the 2025's as I'm in the market for one.
I have an appointment on Wednesday.

The battery completely died on me on Friday. Had to call roadside assistance. His meter said 8.1 on the battery. Drove home 40 minutes, turned it off and it would not start again. Had to jump it every time with a battery charger.

Fortunately my girlfriend’s dad had a 2023 Maverick that he swapped his battery out for an AGM. He grabbed the non AGM battery and it was reading 12.4 after sitting in the garage for almost a year. I’ve had no issues since putting the old battery in.

I think it’s just a bad battery straight from the factory. Maybe a bad cell. It just won’t hold a charge. Hoping they just replace it on Wednesday. I’ll update.
