I have solved my battery drain issue by going to the Ford Pass App on the Touchscreen and turning off connectivity . I turned off automatic updates , Wi-Fi and toggled off insurance data . I deleted my ford app on my phone . Now it’s not searching for my Wi-Fi signal parked in my garage . It’s not gathering info for my insurance company to use against me in court if I have an accident . It’s not refreshing to find a nearby ford dealer or my location if I want to navigate somewhere . I don’t need the fordpass app to tell my tire pressure or any other info , because all I have to do is look at the dash settings for that . All these things were draining my battery when the truck was off . Also no clicking noises now when it’s off . Try it if you are having the issue . Of course it could be a defective battery or the module that controls connectivity in the truck to the app . Ford may not have not told anyone this because they want to keep you connected to the app which is not necessary .

The clicking is when the truck is off . Try opening your hood . You will hear a lot of clicking noises . It’s totally not necessary when the truck is off for the truck to open and close relays or transfer any info to the computer when off . It is an unnecessary battery drain . It also does it when unlocking the doors with the touchpad or key fob . Compare it to another vehicle . I’ve never owned a vehicle that does this new or old .

Me too . But the previous things did reduce the battery drain . Just trying to help . I don’t want to get rid of the truck if I can help it . I’m addicted to the 38-46 mpg I’m getting

Yes, the clicking is normal for Hybrids. I own a 2013 and 2015 Chevy Volt and a 2023 Hybrid Maverick. The Volt runs pumps and various other things regularly even while plugged in and charging. Primarily it runs coolant pumps to heat/cool the battery based on temp and the Maverick does as well. Most all current model EV's/Hybrids do this especially if they have liquid cooling. The battery needs to maintain a specific temperature to function. It can't be too hot, and can't be too cold or it will damage the battery. Could they have used solid state relays instead? Probably, but they didn't. Even walking by the Maverick with a key in hand can wake up the vehicle as it assumes it may be driven soon. While it may be annoying to some, it is quite normal and is doing it's job.

I can see turning WiFi and automatic updates but I wouldn't delete the app. There might be an OTA update you want.

I opened my back door to remove groceries and left it open for a few minutes . I came back and heard relays clicking . I shut the door and then I locked the doors . I walked off and heard more noises . All while the truck is off . Then I walked by the truck to get the mail . More clicks . It’s no wonder some people are concerned about battery issues.

Hopefully disabling software updates doesn't invalidate any warranty claims in the future.
It won't. Those updates are only for the infotainment anyway.

Until you replace Ford's OEM battery with a AGM non-Ford battery with a greater capacity, you will most likely haves issues with your battery in the future. Many other treads discuss this at great lengths...
