Imagine how small it would look against an F-650 or F-750.

The size comparison photos always make me laugh.

The F-250 is absurd how large it is. The Mav roof is barely above the bed sides. Hahaha.
They've all gotten so absurdly large.....glad Maverick is bringing back a dose of reality. Granted, some require that size of a truck - but a large number do not, however "bigger is better" sells. Have no need for that size of a truck, nor do I have the want for it. Most of my trucks have been small trucks....and now have had a pretty much bulletproof Silverado for the last 15 years - but was so ready to get back to a smaller truck. Timing was perfect for Maverick as I was considering a small SUV (ie Bronco Sport) - Maverick was just right.

Yeah, but I will able reach over and work out of the Maverick. And don't need ladder or step bars to get in it or wash it. The older that you get then you will appreciate sliding your into the driver's seat.
Ain't it the truth

The scope of truck sizes is all out of wack. The F-150 is a big truck. 250's are just massive.

One of my relatives was buying a new truck and just kept upping the size because it "might come in handy". He's never towed a trailer, owned a boat, done demolition or really big hauls at Home Depot. I doubt he has ever loaded more than 1,000 lbs. He ended up getting a F-250 all to haul his golf clubs

When we were doing the build out for my business, I did have some contractors with F250s come by. They used the entire commercial parking space on the street for their truck. And they did need it. When you're hauling ten foot long metal studs and 4x10 sheets of drywall, you need a truck like that. The plumber used an old Ram 1500 and the guy who did the glass had a custom Silverado.

For guys like that, the Maverick won't be enough. For me, it is.

That is illegal. As long as you have it service per the recommended intervals they must honor warranty.
That would be illegal for a factory warranty, yes absolutely. But not this lifetime warranty. Like any "service contracts", it has far more conditions than a manufacturer's new car warranty. One of these is that it must be serviced by them and at their schedule. I assume that is because they will be replacing the engine or transmission on their dime should they fail while under this "warranty".

Has anyone seen the new 2023 Ranger yet? I know it's getting a redesign.

My first reaction seeing one in person was how small it seemed, but really when getting in and around it it felt roomy.

To add -- how's this for a stark size and scale difference!

The F250 is a great work truck designed for many such purposes. It is great to tow large RVs, construction equipment, etc. It does this very well. It's ride and comfort is such that it can also be used as a daily driver so you see a lot of them on the road. Yes it is very much larger than the Maverick for good reason. That doesn't change the Maverick fills a niche for a small pickup with great looks that will be good for many personal uses.

If I was still in the contracting business I would use Mavericks for a parts, shop, or job site use, just as I did with the first Ranger, Dakota, S-10, and D-50. Back in the 80s I outfitted D-50 4x Diesels as residential electrical shop trucks, with side access tool boxes, over the cab rack to carry ladders and conduit, bottom pull out bed drawer tray, and it was still large enough to hold materials for a rough in or trim out of Residential and small commercial jobs. It did take daily material management to be efficient but they served me well, just as the other pickups in that compact category. The size, purchase prices, and cost of driving for these trucks allowed me to put more of them on the road which resulted in buying fewer larger capacity trucks that were occasionally needed. I see the Maverick filling this need as well.

I saw my 1st Maverick in person Saturday and I must say it's quite impressive. It's what a small truck should be. I'm only 5'9" but it has lots of room both front and back. I'm also 76 and it's very easy to get in and out of. It's harder for me to sit way down and then try to get back up again. In the past I've had a Ford Courier, a small Datsun truck, a small Toyota truck, and I must say the Maverick is not "small" in any sense, except up next to the gargantuan regular trucks they have today!

Not meaning to hijack this post, but looking at the sign behind those trucks, how come most major dealerships don't do a Lifetime Limited Warranty? I keep my vehicles up to date on all services, is there a catch?
Those warranties are a joke, there are so many loop holes that they use to "not cover" things. Don't be fooled by that crap.
