For what I am doing, no.
It's primarily to lock the cooler I use to transport milk and other temperature sensitive items in place. It also keeps the cooler from sliding around when it's empty.
A vagrant sneaked into the garage where the truck is parked and stole the previous cooler out of the...
It'll only be for light loads. I'm not planning on tying anything down that weighs more than a hundred pounds on these. For heavier loads, I'll use the ones the truck came with.
It's a duct tape and bailing wire solution but it works for what I need. If I need to go heavier I'll probably buy...
Those are all nice but I wanted to get it done today. I wish they had a single hole one at Home Depot but they didn't
As the great philosopher Mick Jagger once said, "you can't always get what you want. But if you try, sometimes you get what you need "
Instead of spending hundreds for the bed rail system that Ford sells, I went to Home Depot and spent less than $14 to put two of these in.
It's an M8 bolt and a medium duty D ring.
Caveat: it's only anchored on one side.
But for what I need, it'll do just fine.
I'm getting that smell as well without any AC on. It came right after I took my truck in for the fire engine recall service, am oil change and a replacement of a part that was allowing the oil to trickle out.
I'm thinking it's due to a new part having to wear in. It's definitely gotten less...
I wonder how the bed liner would hold up to that?
I guess it's a good thing I unloaded that quickly otherwise all the neighbors cats wild have taken a dump in it.
I haven't been active here because I just haven't had much to contribute lately so I didn't want to simply spam the forum. But I've hit the 2500 mile marker and had the truck for about seven months now so I wanted to provide a more long term outlook on the truck.
First, anyone who says it can't...
Who says you can't have both?
I use my Maverick for supply runs three times a week.
I still like to keep it clean.
I'm not going to baby it, but taking care of things means they last longer.
Minimal.
Put it this way. I screwed up and kept my loan for too long and had to pay a month's interest. It was a little over a hundred bucks.
Consider it the price of not having to get a rental if you don't get the timing just right.
Wait until the dealer calls and tells you to come get your truck and then sell your current one. That way you can be sure you won't be without a vehicle you need. Sure, you may have to find an extra parking space for a few days, but that's a price well worth paying.
I'm late to this thread but here's your answer. Anyone who tells you otherwise, well, ask them for the winning lottery numbers while you're at it.
You'll get it when you get it. And if that's not a good enough answer for you, well, then, go buy a different truck. Be prepared to pay out the...
My Maverick replaced a 1990 Chevy Silverado. No question that was a truck, correct?
Well, it does everything that truck did and can actually carry a little more payload than the Silverado.
The State of California says it's a truck as well, because it's registered as a commercial vehicle...
You need a block or oil pan breach first.
I don't think that's likely to happen.
I'll wait until it's time to change the oil before I get it done.
In the meantime, I'll keep using my truck to do the things I bought it for.
That's because it has the top five and the worst five. Ford is middle of the pack, so they didn't show up.
If you want to find that information, you'll have to find it on your own.
And you missed the entire point of my post.
Also, don't shout at me.
My truck has been in the shop for some body work due to some dumbass in the parking lot. It's going on two weeks. I miss having it. It's a useful, trouble free tool to help me do my job.
I can skate by with my personal car but it's a whole hell of a lot more difficult to fit supplies into the...
It's the internet. I pulled it directly out of my ass.
Just kidding.
