There out there for no markup just gotta look around

We live in Texas and I've seen a few. But refused to pay the 10K markup or the amount for atrocious upgrades they add on to avoid calling it a markup.I dont respond to the dealers calls anymore since I already have one and they donât seem to take me off their list even if I tell them I have one now.
I assume most of them are EB. I have no idea of the markups.
Just wanted to let people know that there seems to be some available if you decide the wait isnât worth it anymore, or you just need a truck right away.
BTW, I bought my hybrid in April from a dealer in Texas. I paid for delivery, and a markup, but I got a Maverick without waiting. I needed a new vehicle asap though.
Just a thought.
There have been at least 2 on the lot for the last 4 months by my house in Aurora. They may sit for a week or two till they sell, then a couple more shows up. No hybrids. Mostly base models with a 5K markup. This week has the first cyber orange. I'm still holding out for my red XLT.I dont respond to the dealers calls anymore since I already have one and they donât seem to take me off their list even if I tell them I have one now.

Iâm just trying to keep these jerks from boasting about it.
For too long people have congratulated them on their dealings, not even thinking through the repercussions of their own orders in waiting.
These people should be the pariah of these forums, not made to feel welcome. If I was waiting on a Maverick and somebody shoved me back in line so that they could flip a truck that could have been mine I would be pretty upset.
Which one of you people are still waiting for your truck because of people like this proud, greedy, flipper?
I don't think this comes up enough, but yes - when you go to three dealers and place orders trying to get one faster, it slows it down for everyone else, along with giving the opportunity for markups. The main reason the trucks on the lot are customers doubled orderes.
Sales tax here is over 8%. Not worth it just to flip. On the other hand, after private offer Iâm getting a hybrid utility vehicle for about 23k that will likely give over 10 years / 100,000 miles of economical service so itâs a slam dunk.My 2023 base hybrid just showed up a few weeks ago - already sold it carvana for $3500 more than I paid for it.
Sarasota Ford in Sarasota, FL has a used 23 Maverick Lariat for sale on their website. Asking price is $42,900.I dont respond to the dealers calls anymore since I already have one and they donât seem to take me off their list even if I tell them I have one now.

Could be any number of reasons. A friend of mine has had one on order for a while with no sign of production yet, and then his dealer called him about one that had come in for another client but the client decided they didnât want it. So his salesman called him and he took that Maverick instead. He did not cancel the other order because he would probably take it anyway and give it to his brother or something! Nice to be in a financial position to be able to do something like that.Yeah, it makes me wonder if dealers are getting customer delivery refusals, or if the market is really slowing down, or if the markups are just too high now or what?
Stealing is if someone takes something you have that doesn't belong to them.Yup, lots of false advertising/bait &switch on dealers websites. I looked at dozens and dozens of hybrids online only to find out that they really didnât exist anymore.
Fords website auto finder just exacerbated the problem.
About the only hybrids available are the ones the greedy flippers turned over.
I donât care how some of you rationalize it, youâre stealing money from those who want to buy a vehicle to keep for themselves. Youâre also stealing available product from them.
You have your Maverick, you are simply draining the tight supply for greedy personal profit.
You are thieves, and I will continue to call you out whenever I see one of your proud posts about flipping one for personal gain at the expense of others.
