OK my problem has been fixed.
I did just recently mess with that switch that I never touched before. that's why my interior lights weren't coming on when I entered the vehicle.
this is completely separate from the other problem you guys are talking about.
Fortunately I haven't experienced...
So to be clear, you're talking about that rocker switch overhead in the middle by rge glasses holder?
Messing with that can affect whether the other interior lights come on or not when you open the door?
Apparently that's what I did
I agree with your sentiment of keeping the features you paid for.
But I wonder how people knew they had a low tire in the hundred years before the tire pressure monitoring system.
There's a control there!?
I just went out to check that no that wasn't turned off and that would just be the overhead two lights anyway.
But now all the interior lights come on when I open the door.
They weren't yesterday.
Well if this intermediate problem is my biggest concern right now I'm...
I appreciate all your comments and advice but here's the thing.
What I'm saying is is this truck isn't left alone for any more than when I go to sleep to when I wake up in the morning so 8 hours and then at work another 8 hours I drive this truck all the time. I have never ever left this truck...
Were you driving it everyday?
or were you leaving it for long periods of time is that why you charged it with an outside charger?
My truck never goes more than half a day without being driven.
It's just that I haven't had a single problem with it in the 22 months that I've owned it.
15,000 miles.
yes I think the battery is fine not just because it "starts" (it's a hybrid) but the headlights are bright, horn is strong etc with rhe key in the accessories position.
It's a small problem...
A trickle charger?
I drive it 25 miles to work and 25 miles back everyday and then four or five times after that in the evening.
Why would I put a trickle charger on it? or hell when? I don't get it.
I didn't think I changed anything.
Still set for automatic lights.
Now dark when I enter and try to find the ignition with the key in the dark.
Small problem I know but any ideas?
Had this 24 for almost 2 years now no problems but this small annoyance.
Searching other posts it tells me this may...
Okay I see them now. I've been away from this forum for a while. Had my truck year and a half now with no problems. The only problem I've had with it was waiting for it for a year and a half before that.
$8, not bad.
But they all seem to be blue xlts though.
This is the first scale model I've seen of any kind of keychain, Hot Wheels, whatever.
Other than those stupid 3D printed ones they want a couple hundred dollars for.
But as a typical Maverick buyer I'm cheap, I'm not paying $45 for this.
Are there others...
OK, I get it. But I do think the cost of converting it would exceed the purchase price of the truck to begin with. The labor alone would be astronomical. If you did it yourself, I guess not that much but wow would that be a time consuming hobby.
No insult but you're not understanding what a hybrid is. A non-plug-in hybrid. You'd be lucky to get 1 to 2 mi on your 1 kW hour Maverick battery. Pure electric vehicles have a 60 to 140 KW hour battery. Plug-In hybrids have at least a 20. Do you see the scale? You would need a battery at least...
