52 here. My first new car was an '89 Toyota Pickup, which I drove for 20 years and 300,000 miles. I loved that little truck, and I've never wanted anything bigger. My second new car was a Honda Element, which was also marketing at younger people. The Element was amazing, but my son totaled it a couple of years ago. Kids aren't the only ones who can appreciate utility! I'm worried about the reliability of Ford, but I'm going to give them a chance.
I worried about Ford's reliability too, but my 2016 Fiesta ST has been a good car.

Y'all might find this interesting, over at reddit the age skews 25-40. I think the medium affects what kind of people we see. I'm personally right on the cusp of using forums when I was young and using reddit pretty much since it came out.

52 years old here. Had a 93, 99, and 02 Rangers before. Always preferred small trucks. Two days ago i sold my 17 Frontier I bought as a certified Nissan 3 years ago for more than I paid for it. It was pretty much the smallest truck I could find before. I am in the fortunate position to have something else to drive until the Maverick i ordered comes in.

50 here. This will be my first truck. I seem to move a lot of stuff. (Art projects.) And I like the size of the bed. Hopefully it will keep friends from asking me to move things that are too big. If I have to move something larger than 4' x 4' I'm paying somebody else to do it anyway!

I'm 22, for what it's worth. Never owned a pickup before, but the Maverick is likely gonna be my first new car purchase. I've wanted a pickup for a long time to haul my kayak, to hold all my wet, smelly fishing gear without stinking up the cabin, and manage some mild offroad trails, but I was always driven away from the pricing and the sheer size of most pickups. I have zero interest in driving a full-sizer around every day, and even a midsize is kinda big. When I first read about the possibility of a truly small pickup coming back I was in hook line and sinker.

31 and it appeals to me as a weekend warrior. I can drive it daily to work, make the occasional home depot trip and take it out for family adventuring.

I'm 49 and those are my thoughts, exactly. Well, except for the first new car purchase. This will be my third, along with numerous used.

IMO, I think that's because the age of reddit skews 25-40
That's kinda my point lol. Reddit skews younger and forums skew older. I used forums when I was younger, so I'm kinda on the cusp of both.

I've seen a few people wonder basically where the young people ford seems to be targeting are at, I think they're on reddit and not here for the most part.

56 here, I had a similarly-sized 2000 Frontier SE 4x4 that was a fun and capable truck, I hauled my dirtbike in it perfectly.

I've had that and trucks as small as a 80's Mazda B-2000 Sundowner, a '92 Ranger, to a late 90's F-150. To me, the smaller ones are more useful, the lower load height is much better for loading/unloading. With the higher trucks, including my current Colorado, I find myself using the utility trailer for bulk materials as it is much easier to load/unload.
I really appreciate the pragmatic approach Ford designers put into the storage and other real-life functional aspects of daily use.

I'm 58. Seating for five, 40 mpg hybrid, a bed, and a little over $20,000. Sounds like the perfect retirement vehicle. As a bonus it doesn't look like a cheap ass embarrassing economy car. This Maverick will replace my hybrid fusion that I leased.

I'm 42, and my partner is 46.

We're pretty excited to get a small pick-up with what looks to be a decently roomy crew cab, and we LOOOOVE, the idea of 37 combined mpg.

41 here, will be my first truck. I need something that we all fit in that we can haul a little in without breaking out the diesel Excursion lol. Plus I have always had a soft spot for mini trucks.
