Do, my Mav came with a 7yr connectivity package subscription (off the lot), but the navigation hasn’t activated, yet.
anyone know how long it takes for it to activate?
Hey y’all!! I joined the forum way back in the early days, but I just now have my Maverick—“Maeve,” the Winter Lady. (Dresden Files).
Her welcome home day was this past Saturday (Feb 28th).
And as luck would have it, I was treated to a snow storm for my first drive into work.
Alrighty y'all. I ordered my Maverick from Dick Masheter Ford back in July.
I couldn't wait any longer with truck needs and the herky-jerk news coming from Ford, so I cancelled my order and bought a Ridgeline about a month ago.
NOW, it has been built and is scheduled for delivery sometime in...
This review makes me feel a bit better about my situation. I ordered a hybrid last July. Now, I am one of the thousands whose build date is getting pushed back big time.
I looked at the Santa Cruz, and almost bit (found one at MSRP), but ultimately decided on getting a Ridgeline RTL instead of...
The delays are not all on Ford, but their complete lack of transparency is a shitty way of doing business. Trying to implement a "build to order" system works best when they CAN operate at full tilt. The Maverick was released in the middle of the pandemic and Ford could easily have foreseen the...
Bronco all over again.
Honesty is not the best policy when it comes to selling cars...not when more money can be made by squeezing the market with hopes and dreams.
Honestly, I wouldn't bet on car prices and values continuing to rise. The bubble will pop at some point, so I'd be sure you are comfortable with the prospect of being stuck with a Santa Cruz for a year or more.
Me, personally, I'm looking to buy a Ridgeline RTL and cancel my Maverick order...
I am at the point of taking a hard look at other options. Like everybody else with hybrids scheduled for Feb, my build date was moved to March 28.
I am leaning towards buying a Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited. Mavericks are so hard to come by, and SC's are consistently available on car lots.
I wish...
Honestly, I'm starting to think there are problems with the hybrid engine unrelated to supply. I suspect this based on two pieces of information: 1. Continual push back on hybrid builds. 2. No EPA MPG numbers for the hybrid Maverick, yet.
Yes, some folks have taken delivery of their hybrid...
A vehicle is "more profitable for Ford" if the profit margin is higher when sold at MSRP. The dealerships want to make a profit, and so does Ford Motor Company. Make no mistake, Ford Mo Co is taking notes and WILL increase MSRP if/when dealers prove customers are willing to pay above MSRP.
