I don't think $28,500 is cheap for a new vehicle. The Maverick is a great vehicle but it is pushing the limit on being a value proposition. I'm not unhappy with the details based upon the price, but saying if the price increases, my expectations also increase.
It’s fine to feel that way, but the average sale price of a new car is ~$48,000. So, relative to the market, $28k is on the cheap end of cars.

That being said, I agree the Maverick is about par as a value proposition for me. Although I don’t place as much value on the truck aspect as others may, so I get it also feeling like a deal to some people.

So what is Fo

So what is Ford's plan for the 25,674 and the 15,560 Hybrids with hitches that can not be built?
When is Toyota coming out with their small truck?
Best we can tell, they won't build them. Assuming Ford only builds the 77,800 remaining in question, then 25,674 hybrid orders will go unfulfilled. But if Ford builds more than that, then more of the hybrids will be fulfilled at likely the same 35/65 proportion. We don't really know until Ford does or doesn't fulfill them.

Will they role to a YM24 then? I know it is just speculation at this point. I guess I need to spend the $$$ and get my 1999 accord Transmission fixed then

Ford explicitly stated that there won't be any price compensation program like there was for '22 -> '23.

I call Customer Service every week... This morning my Dec 19 build date was moved to week of Jan 9 but is still showing as MY22. Agent said the conversion to MY23 should happen in next few weeks and that I would be notified.. I have verified with dealer I have a unique order number. I asked about Trailer hitch and she said there is nothing in the system that mentions that, but there is mention that Hybrid Transmissions are currently holding up builds.
Could you tell me that customer service number? Thanks

Correct. I believe Ford will provide a private offer for any cancelled VINs like they did this year. But they will not offer a private offer for cancelled orders that don't get a VIN.

I know Tim says to leave off SIBL but if it's under capacity that's tempting. Would love that Ford logo. Got a hybrid lariat lux, moon roof with 360 and 360 assist looks like the only constrained item is the hybrid battery pack but being a rolled 22 should be my ace in the hole to get it built. What do you guys think?
Same situation for me less the moonroof and 360A. Did the rollover with my dealer and hoping for early 2023 for a new build date.

With a tonneau, no one sees the Ford logo.

Ya, time to get a master cylinder and break job on my 2002 4runner, 290,000 miles. Best truck I've ever had. MY24 is a long way off. Lots of things will change by then.

Think I know the answer but is it possible to change a hybrid order to a tremor?

You have to provide a lot more info about when you ordered and if you've been given a VIN, etc. in order to get the right answer.

According to Tim this evening:

68% Hybrid orders compared to 35% capacity.
32% EB orders compared to 65% capacity.

Other than the hybrid, standalone tow hitch and splashguards seem to be the items over build capacity.

XLT Lux = 30% capacity but 25% orders.
Lariat Lux = 25% capacity but 20% orders.
Tremor = 8% capacity but 2% orders

Appearance packages are all under capacity constraints compared to orders:

BAP = 10% capacity but 8% orders.
TAP = 3% capacity but "hardly anyone ordered it"

CP360 = 60% capacity but 50% orders
CP360A = 25% capacity but 8% orders.
SIBL = 39% capacity but 17% orders (Tim says leave off)
HBL = 25% capacity but 5% orders.
Moonroof = 38% capacity but 13% orders.
Hitch = 45% capacity but 65% orders... includes any packages that includes hitch.

Keep in mind those hitches are likely also on a lot of the hybrids that mathematically cannot be built. So, I don't know if I would remove the hitch. The hybrid would likely be the larger constraint than the hitch.

Note: this has been updated as more information had been requested.
It looks like the largest constraint is the hybrid engine — 68% ordered vs 35% capacity. I ordered a hybrid XLT. The rest of my order features are not constrained.

What’s Ford going to do about this? Offer me an EB? I don’t want an EB.

I think being a rollover is no real advantage. Rollover orders are indistinguishable from new orders on Ford's end.

Looks like I am going to take the hitch and floor liners off my 2023 XLT AWD Eco with BAP. Good thing I already have a 22 to drive until it gets here...
