Right, I didn't switch to a model that was 8k more that contained everything my lesser model contained. If that isn't a profit margin cancel nothing is.

How so? Did you have a Base Sasquatch ordered with a MIC top? Major constraints were MIC, SAS, and Lux pkg. To qualify for the $2,500 offer you needed to remove all of the constraints attached to your vehicle, and you couldn't order a different more expensive model with those options if you wanted to qualify for the offer (this according to Granger Ford, a Bronco specialist dealer similar to Tim Bartz on the Mav).

I wanted to order another Base Sasquatch and I couldn't even order a base. I wanted the rear locker and it was either BD, Badlands, or WT.

They placed a "dealer stock" order for my Base. Then cancelled it because the Base wasn't an option. Cheapest model that I could order was 8k more than the Base we built.

So it doesn't sound like Ford canceled your order, it sounds like the dealer did. Base hasn't been an option for most of if not all of MY23. Sounds like maybe the dealer "took your order" (and maybe with good intentions of using one of their dealer stock allocations) but it was never truly placed. Had your order been accepted as a base model during the initial orders - it would not have been canceled unless you had SAS or MIC and refused to remove those options. These options were not available for other higher priced trims. Had you kept SAS, MIC, or Lux Pkg you stood a chance of having your order canceled but they have not canceled anyone's order as of yet to my knowledge.

The correct thing for the dealer to do would have been to place a retail order for you which would have to be COVP and tied to your e-mail and driver's license.
