  1. Sarah -n- Tuned XLT FX4 Mechanical & Offroad Review

Here is my video showing the capability of my turbo AWD on snow covered streets in Park City. Most snow videos I see are in flat areas so they cannot show how the Mav AWD performs from a full stop uphill on an unplowed street like this. Hope this helps! Maniac
  2. Who Says the Maverick Isn't a Real Truck?

The high rack I installed makes the bed size less relevant. On, this video, I hauled a 10 ft post from Home Depot in Park City. The trucks around me had 5 ft to 6.5 ft beds so they could not even do that.
  3. This "Person" Posted Some Good FX4 & Tremor Reviews

I do not make you stare at me when you watch my videos. Here is the latest one showing my AWD in Park City. Hope it helps. Maniac
  4. Anybody pick out a name for your truck?

We do a lot of size comparisons on our channel to big trucks so we call ours Tonka.
  5. Lost Maverick Features

I use the keypad all the time, including when the truck is in my drivway and I can get my sunglasses without going back inside the house to get the key. Or when my wife and I go to 2 different stores and the first one back can get inside. Also great when hiking, jogging, or skiing without worry...
  6. New Maverick owner in SoCal

I am in SoCal too Susie! (Huntington Beach) You should post some videos too, I will sub! Here is my dark blue version, which also changes color in different light.
  7. Ford Maverick vs the even more rare Ford Sport Trac

A lot of you wanted to see how the Maverick compares to an old Sport Trac. I finally found one! Talk about a unicorn. This video comparison is similar to how I show other trucks huge or small side-by-side with the Maverick. In the description is a list of specs to help you see key differences...
  8. It's such a awesome vehicle - I don't understand any of the complaints.

Mel, I like your unicorn reference. I have owned 2 Mavs for 2 years and it still feels like I am driving a unicorn. One of my early videos in 2022 referred to the Mav as one back then.
  9. Crankshaft recall.. What would you do?

Dave, Don't panic, keep them both like I have on my channel. Use the hybrid for city mpg and the T for fun and adventures. Once you use the T for mostly hwy driving, the mpg will go up to mid to upper 20s. My Mav turbo AWD I show in my videos from Park City is a little beast in the snow, I have...
  10. Ford Maverick on snow video

Yes Tim, although the Contis climbed the same streets fine, the Blizzaks grip better. Their silicone based rubber does not harden like a street tire or an All Terrain tire. And the Blizzak tread pattern digs through the snow better.
  11. Do you regret getting either the Hybrid or EcoBoost?

Will, Yes, your math is more accurate. To recap what you wrote, someone driving 10k miles/yr will have to put 100 more gallons into the AWD. At $3/ gallon, that equals $300 more fuel cost per year for the AWD, or $1500 over 5 years. So if you pay +$1500 for the hybrid version, averaging 10k...
  12. Ford Maverick on snow video

Hi Tim, Here is your answer about no Blizzaks on our Mav. This is one of many snow videos I posted from last winter. Even with that huge snow year, we never had to put chains on the AWD with std Conti tires. Surprised me actually. Yes, Blizzaks on a FWD are great, but will not get you past...
  13. Ford Maverick on snow video

Thanks for the complement James! C'mon out to PC. There is actually more to do here in summer than winter. It's a short 30 min drive on I80 from SLC airport.
  14. Ford Maverick on snow video

Thanks for the thanks Patrick, really! I try to be different than the people who make you stare at them most of the video. I hope to earn your sub and referrals!
  15. Do you regret getting either the Hybrid or EcoBoost?

R, I own one of each version and I like them both. But per this video series, the turbo AWD is my 1st choice. It only costs about $10 more per tank. That is the cost of a lunch for a lot more passing power and capability in mud and snow. I hope this helps.
  16. Is XL AWD on demand?

Here is a video that shows the AWD capability in Park City. I did get the front wheels to spin, but when I put the Mav in reverse, the rear wheels pulled us out. The computer senses which wheels need more power, it's all automatic.
  17. Terrain color photos?

Ron, This video I posted shows Terrain on an F-150 Raptor at different times of the day, including in the bright sun, under cloudy skies, and at dusk.
  18. Ford Maverick on snow video

Yes you are right, snow tires are the key to stopping. When accelerating, the AWD system sends less power to the wheels that spin, helping to keep the Maverick straight and less likely to slide sideways when braking. This is how AWD helps with braking.
