I bought my Maverick for the long term, so it's good that I don't have to decide yet. More recalls than I've counted, infinite battery charges, gapping wheel well cavitity, a spare tire you can't access when using your truck like a truck, and other "Fordisms" (nannies, OK buttons,) have made me believe another Ford is not in my future. Ford has had plenty of time and even an updated model to correct some of these negatives and yet they're still here four years later. I won't rule out getting another one at some point if this vehicle really comes through in the long run. But, right now I'm not planning on buying any Ford even a Maverick.

I actually didn't want to buy my 2022 XLT AWD ECO LUX in the first place. I considered the Maverick then, and I consider it now to be a bloated fat pig with two doors too many. But there was no truly small two-door competition, and I needed to replace my old Ranger. The Maverick was the least bad option on the market.

32,000 miles later, it's grown on me. It does it's job without complaint. Will I buy another? I hope not. I hope there is smaller two door BEV competition on the market by then. The news is promising, but you can't buy promises. Here's hoping at least one of the promised Maverick competitors actually ships one of these years.

So no, I would not buy another one. This will do until there is something better.

11000 miles on 24 hybrid lariat, no issues so far… I’d buy again but I’m easy to please. Came from a $1000 beater van. what is it I’m supposed to be looking out for with the hybrid? I’ve heard deep sleep and backup cam, what else?

Would I buy it again? At the price I paid in 2022, with the current tech, maybe with a lean towards not doing so. Current price? Nah. I'm hoping by the time I'm done with the Maverick there will be other compact trucks available, or I won't need one anymore. If I lost it today in an accident? That would make it a tougher choice.

Nope, i probably would hold on for a few more years and wait for a used 2025+ model. I think they're too expensive for what it is and I don't like the tech and styling of the 2024 and earlier model.

I got my first Maverick in October of 2023. It was a dealer demo XL. I had a 2023 XLT on order, but had no idea if I’d ever get it.

My 2023 HPR XLT finally arrived and I was excited. Almost two years and 6,000 miles later, I am disappointed in my little truck. Deep sleep, backup cam, interior scratches that make it look older than my 2018 model S and the list goes on.

If it wasn’t covered by a $0 deductible warranty until 2033, I’d probably be getting rid of it. I might get rid of it anyway. I can’t imagine ever recommending buying one to a friend.

Bottom line. I would not buy another Maverick.
I decided to buy a Mac after watching several Tube Videos produced by the Ford engineer who developed the vehicle. I am 85 years old and this is most likely the last vehicle I will ever buy. I am not sorry that I bought a Mav. I have a 2022 XLT Hybrid, Cactus Grey, and I have only had one problem. The tire pressure sensor on the left front wheel went out. Ford replaced it under warranty. Otherwise the truck has done everything I needed it to do. Today at noon I had 32,845 miles on the truck. The gas milage over those 32,000 plus miles is 37.8 mpg. I still have people come up to me in parking lots to ask about the truck. I had a guy yesterday as I was going in to my barber for a haircut stop me to ask about it. He currently drives a Ford 150 and he said straight up that he never need a truck as big as the 150. So who knows he may decide to go the Mac route too. I do understand that a number of people have had serious problems with their Mavs. I am not one of those.

Would I buy my 2022 XLT Eco with AWD, FX4 and LUX for the OTD price I paid then ($31,300) and 0.9% financing? Absolutely.

Would I buy a 2025 at current pricing and financing rates? No way. IMO, the Maverick is a $25,000 truck platform. I think at $30k with some options it's OK. Beyond that, and certainly at the $40K-plus many of today's top-end Mavericks are selling for, there is no way in hell I believe it's worth the money.

My opinion only.

So far I am very happy with my 2024 Mav purchase. I have only owned it for 4 months and driven it 2300 miles. Still waiting for my first recall. The cheap plastic I have read so much about does not seem to be any cheaper to me than my 2007 Mustang or my 2015 Transit.

It's because people keep weirdly comparing a basic pick up truck interior to luxury cars.

Would definitely buy mine again, although this time I'd upgrade to the '25 AWD 4k tow hybrid. It's been a great vehicle these first 17k miles, and very reasonable 42.4 mpg lifetime. I'm a big guy (6'3", 200#) and I'm very comfortable.

I came to the Maverick from an F150. I’d have to say it’s been fun, very dependable. No issues at all but no not again. In fact my next truck will be another F150.

I can't for the life of me figure out why the OP would buy a 10 year warranty instead of just buying a Lariat lux... Already has a 10 year warranty on the hybrid components, and 5 on the rest of the powertrain that isn't hybrid. But, sure.

Anyway:
Yes, I'd buy another ecoboost Maverick. No, not exactly like mine, I'd buy a Lobo.
