Holy shit Darryl. You might wanna lay off the coffee after midnight. That's eleven posts in a row in the same thread, and mostly commenting on replies from last year telling them that the hybrid comes in AWD for 2025. 😂
I just joined this group. So I’m in overdrive mode 😂😂

This 2025 Maverick is my second Ford Hybrid. I owned a 2014 Fusion Hybrid prior to ordering this truck. I would consider a hybrid or plug in hybrid, but probably not a Ford due to poor customer support. I only used my Maverick for three days and it suffered a minor front collision on 2/10/25. A parking sensor was damaged as well as the parking sensor wire harness. My truck has been sitting disassembled and undrivable since 2/11/25 at the dealer waiting for the $135 part. Keep in mind they are assembling hundreds of these trucks with that SZ6Z15K867BA harness daily in Mexico. They do exist. It's simply corporate greed preferring sales of completed trucks versus supporting loyal customers. Since 2020 I've spent $170,000 on new Ford trucks. This life's learning lesson has me rethinking my brand loyalty.

@Robot-Wrangler - Ford is not the only one doing this, Stellantis (CDJR etc) has been doing the same for quite some time as well. The way parts are only ordered 'as needed' these days, I'm not sure you'll be able to find anyone better.

Only if I could be reasonably sure it would not rattle in the dash and overhead, and not go in deep sleep daily, even with new (not AGM) 12V battery.

The just-in-time manufacturing has me concerned about buying a late-model, well, anything. Heck, I was pleasantly surprised when my Nissan Frontier needed a new rear driveshaft assembly. I asked how long it would take and was told the parts were already on the way for delivery the next morning. Guess there is some benefit to having a truck that has been mostly unchanged for its 14-year production run.

I now have 2 hybrid vehicles after driving a diesel for nearly 10 years. At least I can get less expensive fuel and still get decent or better fuel economy.

The Maverick is a different, a little more "pure" hybrid, targeting fuel economy. My other vehicle has the HybridMax system from Toyota. The hybrid and turbo are more to give the car good performance rather than great fuel economy.

But if the Maverick had been just fuel economy, probably not. I remember driving a Prius rental many years ago. Great fuel economy, but it was SLOW to get to 60.
My 2024 Prius Prime XSE Premium is not like older Prius models. It is very fast - 0-60 is a tick over 6 seconds and it keeps on going. It gets about the same electric range as my 2012 Volt (about 40 -50 miles depending on conditions like temp and traffic).
I would like a plug in Maverick if it could have the same electric range as the Volt. Manufacturers decide how big the plug in batteries need to be. 40 - 50 miles works for me and being able to then drive 2K at the drop of a hat on gas alone is also great.

Negative threads ?

Oh yeah, that’s the posts from all the guys that bought the eco-boost and are getting 24 to 27 miles to the gallon. Heh heh.

I would buy 100 MAVERICKS if I needed them.
Yes, says a multitude of recalls on them. None of which I’ve addressed. Yes, I’ve caught plenty of golf over that nonetheless the car runs like a sewing machine.

End of story.

Yes! If the refresh next year has a lot of new stuff like an AWD hybrid I might trade my 22 in for a 25!!
I was just wondering with all the negative threads about a Maverick hybrids That if you have one or own one would you buy a hybrid again yes or no ?
YES Mine is a 24 lariat hybrid like everything about it. The safety features and drive ability are important to me. The looks are good but thats down the list. Gas mileage is great that is also down the list (i do not drive much) i get a steady 50 mpg in town and country. just broken in at 4000 miles delivery may 31 24. Would buy another if it had a new safety feature i needed. I plan on keeping this one untill then. frank

Yes, this is my second Ford Hybrid . The first has been the most reliable vehicle I've owned, it also had a lot of negativity against it.
Was it a CMax? My friend has one that’s ancient and still chugging along!

Yes, both my wife and I had one, my son is driving mine now and hers is a third car we just use now and then. Supper reliable, CMax's initially had 12V battery problems but we were never effected.

My friend (who told me about ordering a Mav back in ‘20) bought a Lariat Hybrid. No problems and got a good price. They might replace the CMAX with another Mav hybrid.

Yes

I have not owned a new vehicle since 2008 (car/truck). Well really that's a lie. I sold my 2023 Camaro with 700 miles on it to get the Maverick along with a 2008 Silverado. Kept the Camaro parked hoping to make some money off of it someday so I never really got to enjoy it.

The 2025 Maverick Hybrid has turned into my daily driver. And I really enjoy driving it and all the "new" stuff that's come with it. Most of my daily drive is interstate so I probably don't get the miles per gallon some of you folks do. But heck average is 36.5 mpg so far and very impressive around town, 40 and up mpg.

All I want now is 1932 Ford pickup with a Chevy 350 and 350 turbo tranny for a Sunday car.
